I have only used them a few times but they're solid. Same quality as the ones that came with the Thule Dockglide racks.

by:

Have owned these ratchet straps in the past. Purchased another set for another vehicle. These are fabulous.

Thank you etrailer for another great transaction and customer service.

by:

I just received my ratcheting Kayak tie towns to replace my old friction-based setup. They arrived very quickly and for the best price online.
Having borrowed a friend's tie-downs in the past, I decided it was time for my own. I'm happy to report that they are very well made and a cinch to assemble using the provided diagram.
To use, just attach the hook to your car's underside tow loop or other sturdy location. Then pass the provided nylon web loop through your kayak's locking U-bolt (or carry toggle), and join both ends to the provided carabiner. Draw the rope tight and tie off the remaining length and you're good to go!
It's actually faster than reading this review!

pretty good ratchet. My only complain is that the clip (part connected to the black case) is small. So if you try to clip it onto a larger clip, its does not make a very big opening. Anyways, good part. Very solid construction, metal. Mine has taken a serious beating and still going strong. Rope very good quality. Does not fray.

Ratchet very good, several trips, rope stuck under front tire, did not break ratchet. Solid

by:

Needed to replace Thule tie downs prior to a Kayaking trip, as those I have had for many years were in bad shape. Several others I paddle with had same situation so I bought several sets. fast delivery was important and etrailer got them to me fast.
Thule products are high quality, nothing more to be said!

by:

These ropes work great and are so easy to use. I had one set for my canoe and ordered these for the kayak. We'll bring both boats on our vacation. The ordering and help from etrailer went smoothly.

by:

Good quality product. My only recommendation would be to add about 1 ft of a rubber covering at the bottom of the ropes, near the hook. This would ensure that bumpers do not fray or sever the rope when the load is strapped down.

by:

Great to work with. I was away from home and wanted my order delivered to the address I was at.
I failed to enter the correct address when I placed the order. On the day of delivery I phoned Etrailer to let them know of my mistake. They notified UPS for me and I received the package that afternoon.
The product was exactly what I was looking for.

by:

The service was excellent. My interaction with your team was accurate, friendly and professional. Given COVID-impacted potential in order processing, Christina tracked my order and followed up in a professional, accurate and friendly manor.

I have received my product and look forward to making good use of it, for years to come. I would not hesitate to order from your service again.

by:

everything was perfect as usual.

by:

This was my 3rd order from etrailer this month. The videos were extremely helpful and all the Thule products arroived when I was told they would and were exactly as described. I have been very impressed with they customer service and their follow up process post-order to make sure you are happy. Will definitely order from them again!

by:

Fast service and product was exactly as described.Would recommend doing business with trailer. Thanks

by:

Works great every time! Makes tie downs quick and easy.

by:

The tallest a very well with no swag. It's easy to load and unload. It folds up and stores very well as well.

by:

Can never have too many tie down straps.

by:

Etrailer is awesome
Every time I order
something it arrives so fast I can't believe it
Thank you

by:

Both products arrived as advertised. Minor damage to the product box inside outer box but product not damaged.

by:

Exactly what I ordered. Thank you!

by:

Does what it is intended to do
Much
easier than a self rig for sure!

by:

Thule stuff just plain seems to be well made. These arrived quickly and are just what we needed.

by:

Love these!!

by:

These worked great.

  • Carrying 2 Kayaks on Front of 09 Dodge When Towing 5th Wheel
We have a setup for you that will allow you to carry your two kayaks. You will need the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar for 2" Hitches - 49" Long # RTL002. This is able to install in a 2 inch front hitch like the one on your 2009 2500 Dodge Quad cab. You would also need a Darby single bar roof rack # DTA968 and some Foam Blocks(described below). For the crossbar, you're able to adjust a little bit, and the instructions will give you information on how...

  • Will Thule Flat Top Mount Kit and The Stacker Fit 2014 Acura MDX with Factory Roof Rack
The Thule Mounting Kit for Thule Flat Top Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Racks # 7533998 will fit crossbars no wider than 3-3/4 inches. You can take a quick measurement of the factory roof rack on your 2014 Acura MDX to ensure that the width of the crossbars is less than 3-3/4 inches. If it is, the Mounting Kit # 7533998 will work well on your roof rack. This kit is designed for Thule Flat Top rooftop ski and snowboard racks TH724 and TH725. The Stacker # TH830 will fit well on the factory...

  • Recommendation for Carrying Kayaks With TracONE Ladder Rack on 2018 Ram 1500
You can carry kayaks with the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XT that fits your 2018 Ram 1500 (all bed sizes). Since the bars are too wide for traditional kayak carriers you can use the Thule Surf Pad # TH845000 and to secure your kayaks you can use the Thule Express Surf Strap - Stretchable Tie-Down # TH531 along with the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT.

  • How to Transport a 90 lb Canoe on the Roof of a 2017 Dodge Durango
I do have a solution for you but unfortunately there are no adapter kits available to carry your 38" wide canoe. You need to use a different roof rack system or use a canoe carrier. For a roof rack system I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack which includes 54" crossbars # RRVA137B-2, the 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, and the DK Fit Kit # DK299. This gives you longer crossbars that have a max weight capacity of 165 lbs. To carry your canoe just on the crossbars will also require...

  • What Surfboard Pads fit My Thule TracRac TracONE Crossbars?
Yes! The only surfboard pads we have for your TracONE ladder rack with 4" x 1-1/2" crossbars is the Thule SUP and Surfboard Pads # TH845000. The strechable material allows the pads to expand to fit the bars. I went ahead and attached a picture of a neighbor review who used the pads on his TracONE ladder rack with the same crossbars dimensions. If you need straps/ties to secure your surfboard, that is the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops - 13' - Qty 2 # TH855XT.

  • Are J-Style Kayak Carriers Compatible With The TracRac RacOne System?
I do have a solution for you, however I spoke with my contact at Thule (who manufactures the TracRac systems) and he stated that J-Style Kayak carriers are not compatible with the TracOne Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TA27000B that you referenced in your question. This is because the crossbars on the ladder rack are simply too wide for the J-Style carriers to mount properly. I instead recommend looking at the Thule Surf Pad # TH845000 to protect and support your kayaks on the ladder rack. This...

  • Do the Bows and Sterns of Kayaks have to be Tied Down when Carried on the Roof
You will want to use tie downs to secure the bows and sterns of the kayaks when transporting them on the roof of any vehicle, including your 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid. A lot of the kayak carriers come with tie downs but if you need some you can use # e36ZR. Finding a good spot to secure the tie downs on a vehicle can be difficult but this kit is great solution for you. It comes with soft foam anchors that close inside of your hood or hatch to secure your straps without damaging your vehicle....

  • Does Carrying 3 Kayaks with Thule Stacker Require Additional Straps
Using the Thule Stacker # TH830 multi-kayak carrier with 3 kayaks will require additional bow/stern ropes and additional straps since the carrier comes equipped with enough for one boat. Each of the 3 kayaks must have its own set of bow/stern tie-down ropes # TH855XT or something similar as well as its own straps to secure it to the Stacker, such as # 753-2030-02, or again, a similar item like # E98876-4.

  • Adding Rollers, a Winch, and Straps to a Malone MicroSportXT
We have all of the components you are looking for to turn your MicroSportXT, part # MPG460XT, into a mini boat trailer! For your rollers, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk, part # DL21741. They have a 5' span so they will reach across your crossbars. To mount these, use the Boat Trailer Roller Bunk Bracket, part # DL21742. I've linked to a video installation of both of these for you to look at. Please note that you will need to find a 1-1/4" u-bolt and mounting...

  • Can Thule Stacker Be Used With 3 Kayaks Weighing 40lbs Each?
Thule The Stacker - Rooftop Multi-Kayak Carrier # TH830 actually would work well for you because the weight of your kayaks will be on the crossbars, not directly on the Stacker. The Stacker will only be taking a fraction of the weight when the kayaks are leaning against it. Just make your your roof and roof rack can handle the 120-130lbs you are adding. If you don't already have a roof rack setup then I would go with Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2 and Legs # RRSX026 which...

  • Can Yakima Kayak Carrier Work With TracRac Crossbar
The size of the TracRac crossbars will not let you install the Yakima Kayak Carrier # Y04083-04082. The only option is to use Thule Surf Pad # TH845000. You will also want some tie-downs to secure the bow and stern of the kayak. I also recommend bow and stern tie-downs like the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes # TH855XT.

  • Roof Rack Carriers That Can Be Used For Multiple Watersport Equipment
Unfortunately, the sport carriers do not have interchangeable parts. They are designed for a specific purpose and do not come with any additional parts that would allow you to carry a different item. We do have some carriers that can carry surfboards and kayaks and canoes or paddle boards. They are carriers like part # RRRWP05. These are simply pads that wrap around the crossbars and then you use tie-downs like part # TH531 and # TH855XT to secure the gear to your roof rack and your vehicle. Depending...

There are options for you to carry kayaks with your 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor on the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack TA21508-02, though standard carriers will not work due to the width of the ladder rack's bars. Instead, I recommend using the Thule Surf Pad # TH845000 to wrap around the TracRac bars, and using Thule Load Strap Cinch Straps # TH521 with the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes # TH855XT. For your 2013 Honda Odyssey, I recommend two of the Malone DownLoader, part # MPG114MD. This J-Style Rack will help you load the kayak up onto the vehicle with the integrated ramps, helping to support some of the weight. The J-loader also includes a complete boat, bow and stern tie down kit. You can add some quick upgrades to the kit with the Thule Quick Draw, part # TH855XT and Quick-Loop, part # MPG308. • Is It Necessary To Have Bow And Stern Lines To Transport Kayaks On My Roof Rack?
I recommend using one line for both kayaks, but use one for the bow and one for the stern. Though you may not see it necessary, some states and cities do require that your roof cargo is secured in such a manner. If you're needing some tie down rope, you can use the: -Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT. This kit includes 2 polypropylene ropes, 2 ratchet pulley assemblies, 2 carabiners, 2 S-hooks, 2 strap loops, and the rope(s) that measure 13' long.

  • Additional Strap Recommendation for Carrying 3 Kayaks with Thule Stacker # TH830
The Thule Stacker part # TH830 does fit the factory crossbars of your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon and will work great to carry 3 10-foot long kayaks. You'd need two additional sets of the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT since the Stacker only comes with one set. Anything on the roof of a vehicle is going to add wind noise. Three kayaks will make a noticeable amount of noise regardless of how you carry them.

The Flip Rack is confirmed to fit all bed lengths of your F-150 and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. I've attached a review video of the rack for you. The 815 part number is for a basic version of the Hull-A-Port # TH834 kayak carrier sold by some lesser retail outlets. The Hull-A-Port carrier fits on round, square, elliptical, aero and most factory crossbars. Rhino-Rack Vortex 2500 bars are the aero type but are not compatible. Yes the Yakima ShowDown Kayak Carrier # Y04081 needs a minimum of 3-1/2" but no more than 4" of overhang from the support tower. This is sometimes hard to achieve with roof racks. An alternative is the Lockrack Watersport Carrier # LR54FR. This is a really easy to use saddle style carrier. Removing one of the arms allows for you to slide your kayak into place. Longer vehicles require longer tie down straps. But on your 2015 Subaru Outback I do not anticipate there being an issue. Especially if you use Hood Loops # MPG308.
