Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this add-on fork block for your Thule Bed Rider Pro bike racks. It's gonna give you a great way to attach a third bike to your Bed Rider Pro truck bed bike rack. Let's check it out. Getting it installed is pretty much the exact same process as your existing fork block. So if you've got the bike rack, you're probably already familiar with the process.

Just get the bottom plate around the crossbar, put the top fork block in place, and take your screw with washer, feed it down through, thread it into the plate underneath, and use the provided tool to tighten this down. Once we've got it in the appropriate position, depending on where we want it set up, which more likely than not is going to be right in the middle of the crossbar here with the other two blocks set off to the side. Once those are all tightened down, then all you have to do is get your bike and load it up. If you wanted to swap this out maybe for a different through axle, if you don't need the quick release that comes attached already, then you'd of course just unthread this, pull this out and remove these inserts, and pop in the new ones for whatever size through axle you need. For our bike today, we're actually gonna be utilizing the quick release though so I'll leave this installed.

With all of that tightened down, we can pop our bike into place, tighten down this piece and throw the lever for our quick release. And that's really all there is to it. That add-on block can be used for the full-sized truck version or the compact size. Depending on the compact size truck, you might find that you start having clearance issues with handle bars. But you can see with R3, we've got it all in here perfectly fine, but it is three fairly differently sized bikes with the larger mountain bike over here being off to the side.

But again, that's gonna be bike specific, and it just gives you a good way to securely mount up a third bike. It retains that same 40-pound weight capacity, and with this, maybe you have a damaged block. This can also be a good replacement or you can just get it swapped out and continue using your existing rack even if you don't need a third bike.
