Now, this is going to replace a missing SportRack key numbered, as you can see there on the key, Y013, Y013 for your SportRack racks and carriers. You're going to get this one replacement key, and this is the direct replacement from SportRack, so you can trust that this is going to work just like your original key number Y013. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.

Replace a missing SportRack key with this equivalent part.I received the key I order for my Sportrack ski/snow board carrier. The key number is 013. However the key won't be able to insert into the key hole. Could you help me to solve the problem. I have attached photos of the lock.

Replacement keys are still working one year later. I was a blessing to be able to take off the Sportrack Racks after losing the originals and easy reinstall of the Racks at a moments notice.

I wasted time and money on another two online sites for a 2860 replacement key for a used Sears cargo carrier I bought( at a good price but no key).
Leave it to etrailer and several answers to other’s questions and I felt confident this key would work.

PERFECT FIT! This was a lifesaver for the Sportsrack XL that came with only one key. By an extra one to be safe because you never know what'll happen.
Unfortunately this key did not open my sportrack car topper. It fits inside the lock and ALMOST works...but doesn't.
I was getting ready to leave on a trip in just a few days and realized I had lost my cartop carrier key. e-trailer had the key in stock but it said it would arrive after I left for my trip. Key did not work, key ordered was for a Vault Cargo Management roof bars. The key sent say Y005 as well as the lock, but it did not fit. The key sent was a double sided cut key the Vault Cargo Management lock looks like it might be a single sided cut key. Disappointed it did not work.

The original keys that came with the SportRack systems were slightly shorter than the replacement options. There is a notch inside the lock core that may make it difficult in fully the replacement key into the lock core. You may need to tap the key into the lock with a rubber mallet to fully the key. This only needs to be done the first time you use the key.
