Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Adapter Kit for the Thule x Tepui Rooftop Tents. So typically whenever you get your hardware for that Thule x Tepui tent, it's going to be a little bit shorter or less robust than these. So, if we're using it with our ladder rack from Thule, either the track rack or the Xsporter, those have typically thicker bars. So we need a little bit longer hardware to get everything tightened down and secured. So we'll get our four brackets here and then our eight bolts to get everything attached. You'll need to reuse your nut plate or the nuts for the ladder rack that you already had.
As far as the plates, though, I'm going to give you some measurements for both the plates and the bolts. So, plate is about 5 inch long. The distance between those two attachment holes, center to center, is roughly 4 3/8 inches. The width is about an inch.Thickness is about 5/16 to just over a inch.If you want it in metric, it's about 13.5 centimeters by 2.5 centimeters and 0.6 centimeters or 6 millimeters. Our bolts are going to be a metric bolt. This is going to be an 8 by 1.2 millimeter bolt with standard threads. So if you happen to lose your nuts, that's the kind of nut plate that you'll need to fit with this. So it does measure about 8 millimeters long...
or excuse me, 8 centimeters long if we go just to the bottom of the heads. The actual usable length here, it's about 7 millimeters. The threads are about. or excuse me, 7 centimeters. The threads are about 2.5 centimeters long.
Flip that over back to US, got about 2 3/4 inches of length, and our threads measure about an inch.So I hope that that's helpful in deciding if this going to be the right kit to suit your needs. It is covered by a two-year warranty. Each of our pieces does have, it looks like, a black paint coating to help keep rust to a minimum. So should last you for a long time. These brackets are pretty nice and heavy, so I think they're going to be made of some really good solid steel for you.But that's it for our look at the Ladder Rack Adapter Kit for the Thule x Tepui Rooftop Tents. If you need any other accessories or replacement parts for your roof rack or your overlanding kit, we're going to have a lot of options for you available here at etrailer.com, so definitely check those out. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you next time..

The Thule Xadapter 14 is an adapter kit that makes it possible to connect Basin, Basin Wedge, and Tepui rooftop tents to Thule TracRac and Xsporter truck and van racks.I bought these hoping they would replace the shorter existing Thule mounting brackets, as the cargo cross bars on my Rivian R1T were about 1/4" too wide. I was not disappointed. They fit perfectly. My only suggestion/wish is that they were coated instead of raw metal to protect the finish on my bars.
Used it to fit my Tepui to my R1T crossbars, worked great!
