AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out this tightening wrench for cam tighteners on your tire chains. Now this is a replacement part. Usually there's one of these that comes in the bag with your chains. This one would be an additional one, because it wouldn't hurt to have it, because when you need it, you need it. If you weren't able to find this and you threw the chains on there, you're not going to be able to drive it down the road with it being loose like this.
And you can try and use a screwdriver or something like that, but that's not going to do the trick to get this to turn. They get pretty tight as you tighten them down around the tire. So you're going to need this specific tool. So like I said, whether you're replacing one you've already lost, or I would just suggest getting an extra one with the chains you're buying. Let's check it out. It's made out of a zinc coated steel.
So it's going to hold up to those elements. You don't have to worry about the snow or the salt bothering it or corroding or making it rust. It works really easily. You just put this end here in your cam tensioner, you just turn it to tighten it up. You can see how it brought those chains in together.
I'll do it again. Try and keep my hand out of the way as you turn it in and brings it together. We'll do that all along the outside here. And you can only do it with this tool. As you can see, it's already getting harder because it's got all that tension on there.
And this is where our screwdriver would not help you out at all. You need this L 00:01:26. There we go. See how much tighter they are now. That's really all there is to it. It's super useful tool. It's the only thing you can use on these cams to get them nice and tight when you need that done. So like I said at the beginning, I would order an extra one if you're ordering these chains today, or if you need a replacement here it is. Well, thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped.

Replaces the L-shaped cam tightening tool that came with your Titan Chain light truck tire chains. Designed for use with tire chains that have links that are up to 0.218" (5.5 mm) thick.Product is just what I need and is a really good quality
Been over a year now and used this tool many times installing my tire chains and teaching the family to install the chains. It fits perfectly into the slot and shows zero signs of wear or bending, it's barely even scratched when it contacts the chain cams. Tool has plenty of length to get the cams and chains tight but is plenty sturdy enough to use a cheater pipe on the tool for extra leverage for anyone who lacks hand strength to get the cams as tight as they want using only the tool. Shipping was very fast also. I believe the tools arrived in 3 or 4 days. I ordered several to keep incase I lose it again like I did the tool that came with the chains
Does the job and Doesn't bend.
Does its job nothing special
I got extra cam tools but one comes with each set of chains.
Great chains. Heavy duty and fast shipping
