Hey, guys. Today we're going to be checking out the T-shaped cam-tightening tool for tightened chains. These are available in two sizes, one for light truck snow tire chains and heavy-duty truck snow tire chains.This is going to be a lot easier to use than that factory tool that comes with it. Reasons why is because of that T-shape. We'll be able to hold it, put it into the keyhole here, give it a nice easy twist without having to worry about our gloves, our hands slipping off that other tool.To give you a good look at that factory tool, you can see here that it's L-shaped. I know that a lot of times when I'm using it I have to hold it real close to the top here, so I can get a good grip on it.
If I hold it down here, my gloves or my hands tend to slip off the edge, whereas the T-shape, I can place it between my fingers and get a great grip every time.Let's try it again. Again, in and turn, and it's locked into place, versus that L-shaped style where if I put it in the keyhole I'm really having a hard time here. I kind of have to get my other hand in there to really tighten it, and it doesn't seem to work as well.It's going to be a great replacement or upgrade to that other tool or even if you need an extra. Overall, it's going to make the job a lot easier.It's made out of a low-carbon steel construction just like most chains, so it's going to be strong and durable and hold up for a long time. It also features a zinc finish, so we don't need to worry about any rust or corrosion.To give you an idea how big it is, it measures about five inches long this way and about three and 3/8 inches long this way.It's also going to be great for unlocking those cam tighteners.
And even if they're a little bit hard to get undone, we can use two hands on it.

Not really necessary. I feel that the tool included with the tire chains works better than this one. Save your $$
fits and easy to use
I bought this for my tital chains. the end is to small for the holes on the titen. and the wrench that came with the chains fits perfect and has a longer handle for more leverage
We get about three days of snow/ice weather in north central Texas a year. .was prepared this year with chains and chain accessories. . .etrailer is always there with great service and prices. . .
This worked well. You might not need this tool because the chains come with a single handle cam tool. It never hurts to have a backup!
These are great chains and easy to install. I haven't had to use them much. The Cam Tighteners are an essential feature. You put the chains on loosely, then use the cam tighteners to cinch them down. You should also buy some form of rubber chain tightener to pull then outer ring together as you drive. I used the star type. You don't want the chain to be loose and whack your wheel well. I have a Tahoe with AT tires and the spacing inside the wheel well is small. These chains worked well.
These are the bomb !! They work so much easier than the standard “L” shaped wrench. I can get much better leverage to lock the chain cam and not risk raking my knuckles across the chains. I am very happy with this product.

very cheap and [cheap] the wrench i got with the chains is 10 times stronger and thicker
My coworker let me borrow hers and it was by far easier to use when it comes to tightening the chains over the L shaped tightener. I got a free L shaped one in case I need to give it away to another trucker on the road.
I bought two for practically the price of one when compared to other retailers. Shipping was prompt. Customer service was their priority. The product wasn't available when I ordered it and they called as well as emailed me. They asked if I needed it right a way and that it could be directly shipped from their supplier. I wasn't in a rush.

There is a tightener that comes with the chains that I purchased but this one is easier to use
Nice large handle works great my other ones are black and smaller and I lose them all the time this one is stainless steel color and stands out
Works great, I spray painted them bright orange so they wont get lost in the snow and slush.
I recently purchased snow chains for my truck and the first time putting them on the tip of the L shaped wrench for tightening the cams broke off rendering it useless. I purchased the T shaped replacement and so far it has worked fine.
I bought this with a set of tire chains. The chains come with a tool to lock the cams, but figured a backup is always a great idea. Looks good.
This tool was way to small for the set off chains that I got. Don't know why they would recommend it when it doesn't fit the chains I ordered.

I am sorry to hear that this tightening wrench did not fit your Titan Chains. I have found the direct replacement tightening wrench for these chains, part # TCLH2. I have sent your information over to customer service for them to assist you in getting this item.
These are awesome T handle cam-chain tighteners,So much better than the older ones!Also was super fast delivery sales person was very helpful would order from again.

The product was half the size I need. There is no was I cold tighten the chains for my 3/4 ton 18 inch wheel tires.
Works great. I will be painting it orange or red soon to make it easier to find in snow

I am really glad I have these chains. Still a great bargain. One thing I did was use my full size spare to measure the inside length and cut off two links so I don’t have to secure them so they don’t hit the inside of the fender well. I left 1 extra link just in case I got a larger tire. But then again, if I got larger tires I would just buy new chains.
