Shane: Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Torklift SafeStep riser panels for your steps. What these do is they fill the gaps in between your steps. Why would we need these Let's say we have pets. If a pet's walking up into your camper and they can see through there, a lot of times they're going to have a hard time walking up because they think they're going to fall through. Well, this fixes that.It's going to come with a hook and loop fastener that you can fasten behind the steps to hold them in place.
It also is going to come with self tappers if you want to install them that way. And again, what they do is they basically fill the gap so that as your pet is walking up the steps they cannot see through it, which means they're not going to have to worry about falling through. They can safely get into the camper. They're going to be a vinyl construction, really going to hold up well against UV rays.These are designed for the Torklift scissor steps. However, they are going to fit in most brands of scissor steps.
As I mentioned, these are going to come with the hardware to get them installed, whether that is the hook and loop fastener or the self tapping screws. And you don't have to remove them when you fold your steps up, they can stay on here so they're ready to go the next time you fold your steps out. That being said, that's going to do it for the look at Torklift's SafeStep safety panels for your steps.

Pros: they do their job and give my dogs the extra confidence to climb the stairs while preventing them from slipping through. Cons: I wish they would've come up with a better way to attach them to the stairs. The included velcro strips are very strong but they started peeling off after sitting outside in the summer heat, leaving a very sticky mess behind. I ended up installing small grommets around each vinyl barrier, then drilled holes into the steps and ran small bolts through to secure the barriers to the steps. So far it's held up extremely well. In my opinion the manufacturer took the lazy way out with the velcro.
The Revolution Glowstep is a well designed very functional product that great improves our enjoyment of our fifthwheel. However the cushion in the box is insufficient to prevent damage to the lower aluminium foot bracket when there is a lateral dropping force applied to it. The foot was bent over about 15 degrees inward. Good thing it was soft aluminium as I was able to remove it, wrap it in rags and bend it back straight in a vice with Channel lock pliers with out damaging it. I reported the damage to Torklift with pictures
These stairs and the vinyl barriers worked out even better than I had hoped. We have a backyard storm shelter. They come with a steep set of stairs. Our 100 pound dog couldn't use the ladder and it is impossible to carry an unwilling dog into the shelter. Voila - these stairs are the perfect solution. Leave them steep for us (so we don't bash our heads) then open them out for the dogs. Even the big one just walks down. Even better for us while we are in the shelter we can close the steps and have more floor space.
Easy install. Dog is less hesitant in climbing steps, he highly recommends.
For something costing over a hundred dollars made out of $2 of vinyl AND they sent velcro that was mis-matched (not a hook and latch)version as normal. I had to go out and buy $20 of real velcro to make work.
Purchased these steps for easier entry to our fifth wheel. Going from three steps to four made all the difference. The ease of setup and takedown is a lot quicker than our friends with the solid units. Safe step barriers made it so the dogs do not hesitate going back into the camper.
Pricy item, but necessary if you have a dog. They are durable and may save you a potential vet bill because the steps are slippery for a dog. As for the steps, they are the best purchase I've made for my pop-up truck camper.

This is the best addition Ive made to my pop-up truck camper. Very well made product. A year w/o any issues. Easy to install. Vinyl safety barrier is well worth the expense.
Easy install as indicated. Definitely made our 5-month old goldendoodle more comfortable on the steps! Time will tell on the durability.
Concept is good since dogs use our camper steps and their legs can slip between the steps. Product solved that problem so i would give it an good rating based on this. Installation was easy but after only 3 camping trips the velcro became ineffective at holding the material because of all of the dirt that comes with the use. The combination of foot pressure and dirt cause it to fail. I removed the velcro at the bottom of each step and I sandwiched the material between a strip of aluminum (ca. 3/4" X 1/8" X step width) and the step and attached it with self drilling screws. It is working fine at the moment after several camping trips. I may have to repeat the process for the top of each flap if that fails.
Quality is high and doing to install this weekend. Looks durable and will follow w up post with a full review. Very fast shipping and great customer service with emails following up on order and status.

This product is working very well. So far 7 trips to the desert in various areas of California and weather conditions including rain and everything is holding up. Dogs still go up and down with no hesitations.
Easy install and very stable to use. Added the extended handrail for a perfect step set up.
Haven’t installed yet looks to be a good product.
Glowstep Revolution steps are very well made....much nicer than OEM. Installed on my 2017 Arctic Fox 32-5m fifth wheel. OEM steps were welded on which required grinding welds to remove OEM bracket...once that was out install was quick and routine. Highly recommend these. Shipping and price from etrailer were great. Thanks.
They work good for my dog but the velcro doesn’t hold the best. They need to be secured with screws like the bottom edge instead of velcro.

After one year of use I can say these steps are fantastic. Easy to deploy and adjust.
