Today, we're going to take a look at the Magnum Ball Mount Adapter for the TorkLift adjustable shank. This has a 30,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this ball mount will attach to the TorkLift adjustable shank that's used on the TorkLift SuperHitch dual receiver trailer hitches. It will work on either the TLM9000 or the TLM9001. Now, if you do need the adjustable shank, we do sell those separately on our website. If you notice on this adapter, it has the 3 ball holes.

This will let you mount the standard hitch ball right here in the center of the platform, and the 2 smaller holes on the end are for the sway control balls on either side, or if you need to use it on both sides, you can do that. This has a nice black powder coat steel construction, does come with everything shown here, has all the grade-8 mounting hardware included. I want to go through that hardware, briefly here, just to show you what it's used for. This portion will slide onto that adjustable shank, and you line your holes up, and you take your 2 3/4 inch bolts with the washers, slide it through there, slide it through the holes in the adjustable shank, and then use the 3/4 inch nuts to tighten it down. You do that one on the bottom, also. Now, they also include this 1/2 inch bolt and the 6 1/2 inch flat washers. The reason those are used is that's how you'll actually adjust the correct downward angle of the spring bars in your weight distribution system.

The way you would do that, once this is on your adjustable shank, you'll take your bolt, and you'll put as many washers as you need for your application, depending what angle you need. There, I just put 3 in, and you'll run it right there through the top hole, just like that. Then, what you'll do is take your . If that gives you the right angle, then you just go ahead and use this set bolt, this large, 3/4 inch set bolt. That'll go right in the bottom here, and then you'll just screw that in and tighten that down so it holds that angle.

Now, if you do need to adjust it even with more washers, you just put more washers on to get the correct adjustment, or less washers. Now, this does have a 30,000 pound weight capacity. It is made in the USA. Now, I want to give you the diameter of the holes on here. The large hole in the center, now that's for the TorkLift 2 5/16 hitch ball, part number TLM9008. We do sell that separately on our website.

The diameter of that ball hole is 1 3/8 inches. The 2 smaller holes on the end here, these are for installation of the sway control balls. The diameter of those holes are right at 3/4 inch.
