Today, we're going to be taking a look at TorkLift's pin locks for the FastGun and Derringer turnbuckles. You can get these in a quantity of four, or you could buy a single replacement if you need one. This is going to be a great upgrade if you're looking to protect your investments. You've got a lot of money back here riding on the back of your truck, so why not secure it down and keep it safeIn the set of four locks, you'll receive four keys, and they're all going to be keyed alike. This way, you'll have plenty of keys laying around for your extra sets, for other vehicles you may have, and each lock will use one key, so you only need to carry one on you. Our dust cap here on the end keeps out dirt and debris.
As you can see there, it seals pretty tight so you don't have to worry about any moisture getting in there. We can simply unlock it, and we have a nice click-style barrel end here. So, once you inserted it on and put it on, it makes it much more difficult to cut the lock off because you have to go through so much steel. That steel's thicker than my thumb there. That would take quite a while.
It's a strong one-piece construction with an automotive quality plating. This'll help prevent rust and corrosion from occurring, making sure that they keep that nice chrome finish and last a long time.The shaft on our lock here is going to be 1/4" diameter and 2" long. When you've got the lock on the other end, the space between the lock and the back here on our rubber gasket is going to be about 1 1/4".

I used these Torklift tiedown locks on the HappiJac turnbuckles that came with my camper
The locks work well, but to use them it was necessary to drill out the holes in the HappiJacs from 1/4 to 9/32” This took only a few seconds
One out of the package of four does not lock very easily, it take me 3 or 4 tries to get it to lock properly/securely on the FastGun. I should not have to squeeze the FastGun with a pair of Visegrip pliers for the lock to engage. Any support or a replacement would be nice.

I had to replace the hard plastic washer with a rubber O ring which compresses allowing the lock to engage.
They work, no doubt but design needs refinement. Poor value due to high cost. Issues 1) the locks need frequent lubrication inside for smooth function 2) the rubber washer is slightly too thick and prevents a secure lock. I lost one set of these out of a set of 4 as it did not lock securely due to the thick washer and fell of during travel. Would not buy again, there are many lower cost options.
These worked great for locking up my Fastgun turnbuckles
Upgrade for my camper's security. I am pleased with this purchase and the customer service from etrailer..

Great product came on time. However I would never buy from etrailer again due to their return policy. Be careful. I was charged $xx.xx in shipping to return a $xx.xx item.
Have had these for a year now. Used electrical tape to water proof the covers. So far so good. They are a quality product and I would recommend these to anyone that wants to protect their investment.
Delivered on time as promised. Great company as they take customer service to a new level.
I bought another set after I lost the lock portion of a second one. Make sure you double check the locks after you put them in the FastGuns. I have to release one of the FastGuns to access the fuel tank, and I've failed to check the lock properly twice now.
FastGuns are so quick and easy to attach (and expensive), that locks like these help keep the turnbuckles from walking away from your camper while you aren't around.
Products are good quality and durable. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to secure their steps or tie downs.

The locks are still in working order. I still recommend them to whoever has the Glow Steps.
I needed these tiedowns immediately as I discovered my old ones were rusted when I went to load the camper. Information on etrailer’s website was accurate so selecting the proper tie downs was easy. Ordering process was pain-free and allowed many options for shipping. I selected 2 day shipping and it arrived in two days.
The tie downs look to be very well made. All fasteners were made of stainless steel and the buckle portion appears to be powder coated. Easy installation and adjustment. Works perfectly. Holds my Lance camper securely and eliminated some sway. Locks were kind of expensive, but worth the investment.
Overall, delighted with the service and happy with the products. Would definitely recommend for light to medium weight, bed mounted campers.
My experience with etrailer was excellent. The price for the product was very competitive. They even called me on the weekend to update me on the purchase and shipping. The package arrived much faster than expected and etrailer provided tracking information. I would definitely recommend etrailer. I haven't had a chance to install and use the camper tie downs and locks, yet, but will provide a product review and picture in the future.
Turnbuckles are expensive and pin locks give you that peace of mind. Easy to install and will do the job. etrailer has excellent customer service and support. Whenever I need equipment I go to them.
These work perfect and are a must-have if you own expensive FastGuns! The finish stays nice and shiny. The lock mechanism works smoothly even after getting wet.
