Video Transcript for Review of TruRyde Trailer Bearings Races Seals Caps - Rubber Lube Plug - DC-RP

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at Today I'm gonna take a look at this rubber lube plug for the E-Z Lube and etrailer Easy Grease Caps. Now this rubber plug is used in the grease cap that are designed to be used on the E-Z Lube or the etrailer Easy Grease Axles. Basically, this plug will fit into the opening on that grease cap and it prevents any dirt or moisture from entering the hubs of your E-Z Lube Axle. It'll also make it easily removable since it's rubber. Allows you to gain access to that grease Zerk fitting that's on the spindle of the axle.

And this rubber plug is designed to fit into a whole size on the caps that is 1.18 inches in diameter. Just to demonstrate, I happened to pull one of those grease caps, you can see that, it has the opening on it. So this'll go on the end of your hub and the opening allows you to access that Zerk fitting to put your grease in. So once you do that, pump your grease in there, remove your grease gun and then take your plug and just pop it right back in there, just like that, and you're all ready to go. It seals it, keeps out any dirt or moisture.

And then when you're ready to grease your bearings again instead of having to take the whole hub off, all you have to do is pop out this rubber plug. Very easy to pull right out and that gains access, hook your grease gun up, you're ready to go. But that should do it for the review on this rubber lube plug for the E-Z Lube and etrailer Easy Grease caps.

Perfect replacement part for missing OEM rubber plug on my Rockwood Mini Lite travel trailer.

Quick efficient turnaround on my order. And they fit! Will order from etrailer in the future.

I ordered these to replace old caps on a 2006 trailstar boat trailer they fit perfect

Part was exactly what we needed! A+

Products are great and service was excellent. The packaging for the hubs was too light. By the time they got to me some of the boxes had holes and a couple parts were missing.. Etrailer very promptly sent me replacement parts.

Perfect fit, easy to install. Good to have etrailer around to get such parts

product info, easy to slip off and grease bearings.used on two boat trailers to reduce amount of water entering hub

holding up great

I looked around at different outlets trying to locate these grease covers and had no luck. I googled and found eTrailer and there they were! The order was shipped immediately as promised and arrived on the date stated. The product fit and quality is excellent. Great service and fast!

Bobby L.

After a year on the road Im still fully satisfied with both the product and service from etrailer!

Bought these caps as spares, low price and cheap insurance. They do wear out over time as the covers have a sharp lip. Ez lube spindles are handier than hip pockets.

Dean B.

Spares are still in the box.the couple of bucks are long forgotten, but the assurance I have immediate replacements has not.great product.

Fit Perfectly!

Perfect fit. The description helped me pick the right part/size.

Product appears well designed and made. It fit my wheel hubs perfectly on my trailer. Exactly what I was looking for.
Only issue I had with the ordering experience was the lack of tracking data available after the item was shipped. There was never any delivery date given or means to track the shipment progress. Other than that, the items were received in 1 week in good condition.
I will definitely order from etrailer again.

Looked all over for these things. No RV places carried them and were not willing to help me find them either. Finally decided to look online and etrailer popped them up immediately. Received them very quickly and have them installed in time for our trip. Thank you E trailer

This part was exactly what I needed. I had gone to three different parts houses where I live and no one could help me...they wanted to sell me completely different bearing buddy sets. I found etrailer online and had it in less than a week! Whenever I need parts for my trailer this is where I will shop!

Originals dry rotted after a while like most rubber products over time. Replacements were exactly what I needed and extremely inexpensive. Fit perfect and worked like a charm on my BigTex 14GP gooseneck trailer.

Like others I could not find this product locally, so I went to the internet. Although it was a very inexpensive material, allowed the order to be placed for less than $5 AWESOME!! Other companies would not process the small value order.
Easy finding the odd ball part at etrailer as well
Easy tranasction!
Good communication back of order confirmation
Good communication back of order shipped
Good communication of the order had been delivered

And the product was of great quality and fit perfect.
Got the order in 2 days after it shipped.

I will use for my next parts order.
Thank You

These work just as well as the Dexter caps and for a whole lot less! had my package at in my mailbox within two days.

This rubber cap seals the grease zerk on each wheel bearing of my RV. It keeps water and dirt from contamination of the wheel bearings.
They are economically priced and were quickly delivered!

It's good to have selling these types of replacement items because my local trailer stores don't carry them. The difficulty with this part is finding it without knowing the part number. I had to call in to the help desk and describe it in order for them to locate it and order it.

This is a great product. This part keeps the water out of your wheel bearings great product will always buy my trailer parts from etrailer.

I live in the desert and rubber products dry out fast so having a few spares is always a good idea.

Still works as expected

Thanks again etrailer. I really needed those rubber inserts, just in time too. Really appreciate your Co. Every time I turn around those rubber trailer hub inserts are shot. Got the good ones from etrailer now oh yea. Thanks again Mike in Florida.

I went to purchase these from the camper dealership where I bought my camper. They did not have these but sold me universal ones that were smaller than the originals. I found these online and they fit perfectly. shipped fast and I will order from them again in the future. Thank you

This rubber lube plug goes into the Grease cap. It allows an easy way to grease the axle with out taking the cap off. exactly what I needed for my axle grease cap.

We rely heavily on our trailer to get us to and from quality boating sites etrailer has been extremely helpful keeping us supplied with parts delivered to your door ver nice!

  • Comparing 21-43-1 and rg04-120 Grease Caps
The # TRU46FR and the # rg04-120 are both drive-in style grease caps with a 2.72" outer diameter. However, the # rg04-120 comes with 2 grease caps and also includes the plugs. The # 21-43-1 is a single grease cap and the rubber plug # DC-RP is not included.

  • Replacement EZ Lube Grease Cap For Trailer Hub on 4,400 lb Dexter Axle
We do have the correct grease cap for the hub on your Dexter 4,400 lb axle, but # 21-41-1 won't fit as it is for 3,500 lb axles. Instead, what you will need is the following: - 2.44" OD EZ Lube Grease Cap # 21-42-1 - Rubber Lube Plug # DC-RP I did verify directly with Dexter for you that this is the correct part.

I contacted Lippert to confirm bearing sizes and it sounds like your 7,000-lbs axles have an outer bearing like Item # 14125A and an inner bearing like Item # 25580 and a 10-36 seal. Based on this information, I recommend the replacement Bearing Kit, Item # BK3-200, which includes bearings, races, grease seals, and cotter pin. For hub grease caps, I recommend Item # rg04-120. The dust caps are sold separately so if you need them I recommend the Rubber Lube Plug, Item # DC-RP. If these...

The reason the Trailer Hub Grease Cap, 2.72" - Drive-In for E-Z Lube, 5.2-8K Axles - Qty 1 # 21-43-1 you were looking at does not include the rubber plug is because Redline Trailer Parts who makes this cap does not offer it with the plug. You can however add rubber plugs using the Rubber Lube Plug # DC-RP which is sold as a quantity of one. I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
