Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement lock and key for the car top cargo roof cargo box. This one is a lock number 2824. This will replace a lost or damaged lock for the car top cargo roof cargo boxes. This one happens to fit the cargo box part number CTC-18S which we do sell separately on our website. This includes one lock core, the two keys and then the nut to install it.They are stamped you can see on the lock of 2824 and also on the key to match it, 2824. And basically this would be installed on your roof box, you just put your key in there.
Turn it and that locks it, pull your key out and it's locked into place. To open it up just put your key back in, twist it, take your key out and then you can lift open your cargo box. So that should do it for the review on the replacement lock and key for the car top cargo roof cargo box with a lock number of 2824.

Fit and worked as described.
Well, when I first ordered the keys for our Trunx car top carrier i was hoping that i wouldn’t have to change out the lock when I received the new keys and lock. And to my surprise, since i took the time to get the number off of the existing lock, the keys that i ordered fit the old lock perfect, so that was a relief. It did take a little longer to get my new keys when i ordered them, but when they came, they worked fine. Thank you!!!
After receiving the wrong lock the replacement lock works but keys didn't work with other 2824 locks. I had to modify the core to be able to use them. All good

Shipping and delivery was fast, exactly the part that I needed. Although the new key did not work in the older lock with the same number, I managed to make it work by filing the new key a little to match the old one.
