Hi there truck and trailer owners. Today, we're going to be taking a look at UWS's replacement nail head striker pin. Your striker pin is the component that engages your latch mechanism, as we go down here, you'll see it push the latch to the side and click, boom we're in place. So, since this is the component that the latch is holding onto to keep your lid shut, if the component becomes damaged, if you get too much rust and corrosion built up on it that where it snaps off, or if it just gets bent to where it's not engaged in the latch anymore, you may need to replace it in order to get your toolbox lid secure once again. The striker pin does not come with the nut, so you will have to provide your own, it's a quarter inch with a 20 thread. We're using a nylon locking nut to ensure our stays tightened down in its desired location. This pin will work with both locking and non-blocking latch assemblies.
I recommend if you are replacing this to determine if your bracket is going to be compatible with it, if not you can pick up a bracket from etrailer here, this one is from UWS as well. They do come separately, so if you only need one you can get just the part you need but if you're replacing your entire latch assembly you'll want to make sure you get a bracket as well to put it on too.And to help you determine the best location for installing a new assembly, the striker pin is going to have a one inch strike area, that's the smooth portion here, and the whole pin is about an inch and a half in length. So that way you can choose the appropriate depth on where you need to put the pin on the lid of your toolbox. And that completes our look at UWS's replacement nail head striker pin.

Replaces the nail head striker pin for your UWS box with a paddle handle. Works with both locking and non-locking paddle handles. 1/4" diameter pin.I chose etrailer.com due to price. I received 2 brackets and 2 stiker pins including shipping for about the same price it would have cost me for "1 STRIKER PIN" alone on amazon. So I figured I would give etrailer.com a shot. It worked out great. My $[XX] toolbox is really coming together.
Bought striker pin and bracket to replace missing parts on my Craftsman aluminum truck tool box CMXTBAD73019031. The bracket is shaped slightly differently so the bracket is offset some, however it feels solid and secure. Quick and easy repair. etrailer's price was 25% of what I was seeing elsewhere on the web. Shipping and customer service was also great. Thank you etrailer!
This was the exact Kobalt tool box striker pin I needed. The only thing I needed was nuts, but I found those easily at any auto store. Great shipping and tracking process before shipment.
The product was just as advertised unlike what I ordered off ebay and was less money. Very fast shipping. Overall excellent purchase.

I open up my truck bed tool box and one of the strikers that keep the lid closed is gone! The manufacturer does not sell this little part. I google it and who carries it? etrailer.com, that's who. Great price even with shipping to Oregon. I get the new striker and its a perfect fit. Problem solved. 5 stars.
I was very happy to talk with you the other night. You were a life saver in finding the parts that I needed. I had been all over the past two days looking for these parts and people looked at me like I was stupid, I even showed them a picture of the parts and also showed them the part on there truck bed box that I was looking for and they still could not understand it. I did go back to two different places and gave them your web sight and they thanked me for giving them the info so they know where to look for parts that a customer needs, when they don't have it. Thank You
Truck bed tool box latch had lost pin. A GOOGLE search pulled up etrailer with perfect match of my needed item. Tool box now closes solid, no bouncing lid. Thank you.
Exactly the part I needed. Easy to locate on the site and shipped next day.
Item shipped promptly, and was exactly what I ordered. You can't beat that,I would not hesitate to do business with them again.
It worked well in getting my tool box in staying closed. It however, requires that you buy a nut and lock washer to fasten it to the tool box.

This is exactly what i was looking for

Works great on my box

Exactly what I needed, and fast shipping too.
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
This will help complete one of several repairs on my pickup truck tool box.
Good quality part.
It would have been helpful if the nut was included.
Would it be to hard to include the nut that holds the striker in place? I do not have the old one to get the nut from. I have a bucket of nuts and bolts and was able to install it.
