Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement lift cylinder for the UWS toolboxes. Now, this is a heavy-duty gas cylinder, will serve as a replacement for your UWS toolbox lifts. This lift cylinder installs inside the toolbox to open the lid a full 90 degrees. As we mentioned, this does fit the UWS toolboxes that use the heavy-duty gas lifts.
Few dimensions on this, we're gonna give you the overall length from one end to the other. So on this one, we're gonna measure right at 11 inches. Now, the extended length, which will be measured from the center of this ball socket to the center of that ball socket is gonna be right at 10 inches. And if we would retract this, the length center to center is gonna be seven inches. Now, this lift could possibly work on other toolboxes by matching those listed dimensions to the dimensions of the cylinder that you are gonna be replacing.
And to install this cylinder, it does install or snap into a 10 millimeter size ball stud on each end. Weight capacity on this is 45 pounds and it is for a quantity of one lift cylinder. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lift cylinder for the UWS toolboxes..

I work in construction so I open and close my toolbox many times daily. After a year and hundreds of uses, cylinders still work like new! Expect to get another 10 years no problem. These lift cylinders are great. They work better than the cylinders that came with my truck's large work chest. It takes very little effort to lift the lid. Great product.
Searching for this item, found this web page and I saw the product that I needed and ordered. I ordered two, one for each side, I get them in less than a week. It took me about a minute to instal one side, saved the other part for later instsllation.

The original cylinders in my Husky toolboxes I bought in 2003 were shot after about 6 years. Many times a friend of mine would hold the lid open for me and ask when I was going to replace the lift cylinders. While researching lift cylinders to help a forum member with an issue with their under bed storage compartment in their camping trailer, I came across these. Price was right, shipping was fast. It took about 10 minutes to swap them out and now my toolbox lid stays up on its own. I should have done this years ago.

A year later, and I am still satisfied!
Exact fit, easy install. If I knew replacing these cylinders was this easy and reasonably priced, I would have done it a year ago and saved myself from repeatedly getting clocked in the head by a falling toolbox lid.

I have a full length lid on my box and still working great.

The original arm is a Master-Lift 8343QB 0090N. Can the one I got and get the correct one??? ML 11-20??

Have had these lift cylinders for over a year. My tool box gets opened a lot EVERYDAY. They work today as good as when I first got em. I would definitely recommend them.

Wow. Its been a long time and the lift cylinders are still holding up from daily use. Theyve done what I expected. Good product. Ive already got my $$ s worth.Thanks for the email. I didnt know yall followed up like this. I think its good business.
Tool box shock still works as well as it did when originally purchased, but the end that attaches to the tool box lid constantly becomes detached from the knob type screw and has to be reattached to make the shock function.
If there is a fix for this flaw, it would make the shock a perfect purchase!
