Hello, neighbors. I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this replacement locking paddle handle for your UWS toolboxes. Now folks, again, this is a paddle handle design. That's what that guy is there, paddle handle. It's got a nice integrated lock and it's very sturdy and secure.
So as you can see right now, it's locked. So that little arm is blocking this guy from being able to turn. If I unlock it, that moves that out of the way. And when I pull up on the paddle, now I can release the latch mechanism and unlock the toolbox. So again, very simple design, very simple to use.
And it's gonna include a stainless steel construction so it's not gonna rust or corrode. It's very, very durable and it includes the lock cylinder and two keys. Now if you get two or three of these, there's no way I can guarantee you're gonna get 'em all keyed exactly the same, just because that's the way they come from the factory. So for safety and security, these will come just keyed randomly. Now that being said, we do sell the lock cores separately, so you could potentially get the lock core number off of this one and then order additional lock cores and swap 'em out yourself if you so choose.
Now, getting some dimensions of this guy here real quick. Starting on the top left, we got three sixteenths of an inch on these bolt holes. So the mounting holes, all hardware sold separately. On the bottom red, you got three inches center to center between those mounting holes. And up and down, you've got two inches center to center on those nine holes.

Replacement locking paddle handle fits certain UWS toolboxes.I had to cut original lock/handle off due to being unable to open tool box. The replacement fit perfectly. I did need information concerning size of rivet to use. I called and the lady agent was friendly, and quickly gave me the information.
The tool box latch was just right for the application. The pictures really helped to select the correct latch. The delivery was ahead of schedule. This was my first etrailer.com order, however, it won't be my last. After nosing around in the web site, I realized that many items that I had purchased elsewhere earlier I would have done better here at etrailer.com.
We are thrilled with the product but are unable to complete our project because no keys came with the paddle handle and etrailer doesn't carry rods for a Colbalt tool box. Adam was great in getting a new handle "with keys" ready to go in your system and a return label for the one that was sent to us. He also gave me the name and number for a company that might carry the rod but unfortunately they don't either but they were able to give us information on where to get and how to install a new rod. Looking forward to receiving and getting the new handle installed.
Product was delivered fast. I would defiantly buy from Etrailer again if I needed one of their products. I was replacing a different style lock (push button) on my tool box with this one and was grateful they had measurements of the lock on their web site. The installation was not easy since it was not a direct replacement, but looked great when done.

Fit perfectly the part that I needed. Just figured new lock would come with new key. I didn't have the other key and it was the wrong lock number anyways.
I bought this to replace my handle and lock on a kobalt toolbox. Very happy. One difference between the the original and this one, you now have to pull on both box handles to open the lid. Small inconvenience. Also, the customer service at this company is top notch. Very friendly, and everything happened as they Said it would. I had to have it in two days, and they made it happen with no headache. THANK YOU
Really nice finish and came with new lock and keys. Looks like the original latch assembly. Should last just as long as the original one did.
