AJ: What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we'll be checking out the Valterra Quick Fill. Now, what this is going to do is help you fill up your water tank quicker and more efficiently than using just a regular hose. I'm sure it gets the job done, but it's going to take a while, and if you turn the hose up too high, it's going to come out and it's not going to be helpful. You have to stand here and hold it all the time, and nobody's got time for that.So we can just screw this on at the end here. Get it nice and tight.
We'll feed it through down in there, and there you go. You have a shut-off valve right here. You can just open it and then let the water flow. Taking a closer look at the shut-off valve, you can see it's clearly indicated. The arrows go with the flow.
So when you turn it that way, your water's flowing that way. When you turn it this way, it's shut off. You can see on the inside, it's shut off there, and that's when the waterway's open. We've got our water hooked up and you see there's no water coming out here. It's not like it's a slow trickle or anything like that. It's completely shut off, so I can turn the valve here at the top.
You want to run some water through your freshwater hose for a little bit, get whatever's in there out. I run it for about two minutes, let it go. Let all the air out of there, too. It looks like we're good. You shut it off and insert it in your tank.
With it running, when the water starts coming out of this valve here on the side, you know your tank is full, so it won't ever overload or anything. It'll get rid of the excess water out here. That way, pressure and water doesn't blow up the tank. It's really good. It does its job. But another one that pops in my mind that I've worked with is Secure-Fill. It's got a brass fitting here. That way, you don't have to worry about the hose kinking or anything because this one, you put it in there, the hose might hang down a little bit or get pinched. The other one has a brass fitting on there that has the bend in the brass fitting. That way, there's no bend in the hose ever. So I feel like it's more sturdy that way, it's going to protect your hose, and that brass, it might last longer than this plastic. You might drop it, it might chip, or something like that. But I will say this one has a better release valve on the top. This one's easier to get to and clearly displayed on which way it needs to go. On the other one, you have to push down on this, and sometimes you can forget, wait, was this the position that was open Is this down It's not clearly marked. This one, you'll know right away which position the switch is in.I'd like to make a few different recommendations just in case this is your first time out. We do sell the fresh water hoses separately on our website, all different lengths. All of them are rated and okay to drink out of it. There's no lead or anything bad for you inside of them. So make sure you look for those on our website. Also, I would recommend getting a water filter that would attach between this fitting and your hose. That way, the water from the campsite's coming through, getting filtered before it even enters your tank. That way, you have fresh, clean water on your adventures. I think that does it for our look at the Quick Fill. I hope this helped.

Attach to your drinking water hose to fill up your RV's fresh-water tank in half the time. Feeds water into your gravity fill inlet without any splashback, so no more soggy socks. Shut off valve lets you control the flow.I bought this filler hose with shutoff valve for when I'm winterizing with RV antifreeze, and I don't want to get RV antifreeze into my coiled shower hose that is a pain to wash out and dry out.
The valve comes in hand also. I can attach the filler hose to my RV connector using an adapter (I purchased through etrailer.com) without fluid automatically coming out.
For both purposes, this filler hose with valve works Great!
Handy to have.
Perfect to fill my fresh water tank. Easy to use
Great price and works as described.
Very convenient
Haven't tried it yet. But should do the job - filling my fresh water tank and easy to supervise
Built well
Product speaks for itself. Seems like a needless item, but very useful and inexpensive.
Works as advertised
Good quality for the money
Just what I needed.
High quality item and reasonable price.
Both items worked well

Worked out OK. Had an incident at RV site when disconnecting my water hose discovered that the park water faucet would not turn off. So I connected the Valterra Quick Fill to faucet with the valve open. Got a bath hooking it up. Then I was able to shut off the quick fill. Notified RV park manager. Maintenance came by and shut off the main water to install a new faucet. Came in hand other wise It would of flood the camp site. As for filling the water tank normal it is great in that I dont have to run back and forth to turn water on to fill. just doing it at the RV is easy.
