Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Awning Buddy, part number A30-0300. The Valterra Awning Buddy is the best friend for your sagging or drooping awning. The rubberized clamp grips your awning firmly and the hook and loop straps pull it tight against your awning's side braces. It tightens up your awning, giving it more stability in wind and rain. With both of them in place, it's like a face lift for your awning. Now, that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. In order to make it easy to slide on, we need to make sure that our locking levers here are opened up. Each side is going to have a flanged opening here.
That way we can easily slide it on to our awning. I'm going to do mine in the center of my awning. Just going to slide it on like so, make sure that it is all the way on. Then, once we have it where we want it and it's all the way on, we can then close up our locking levers. That's going to allow it to clamp around the awning and have a nice, tight fit.
Now we can undo our hook and loop straps and then we're going to bring that around our brace here. I'll just simply go through the buckle and then pull it nice and tight. Now we'll just repeat the same process on the other side. With them both in place, we're all set. That's going to complete our look at the Valterra Awning Buddy, part number A30-0300.

I'm glad I found this type of De-Flapper although I am using it to hold taught a 10 x 10 replacement canopy cover, two tier model. The replacement main cover was a bit large but with these De-Flappers it was possible to place them in the upper area to keep the cover tight and pulled upward and prevent water from pooling at the bottom of the cover. It's wide design afforded me the comfort of only having to purchase 4 instead of eight De-Flappers from someone else. They do a great job!
Junk plastic! The top of the awning "pin" broke off at the hole for the lever roll-pin. These are installed and LEFT for weeks. They are not taken on and off repeatedly, abused or overtightened. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and racecar fabricator and know how to use these kind of items. After being in place for nearly 2mos they were removed for 1wk. On reinstalling, the top of one of the clamp "pins" broke off. More [cheap] crap??? Fortunately, due to work experience, I will save them by replacing all 4 crap-plastic "pins" with custom-made stainless steel - as they should have been in the first place!
Finally I can reduce the flapping on my awning. Probably using two per side would even be better.
We have 4 of these already and love them, so when one snapped (because I did it up too far) we knew that we had to find more!! The price is reasonable and delivered quickly.
Works ok. Plastic threads tend to strip out when you get it tight enough to work.
Worked great, no issues
