Today on enclosed trailer we'll be installing the Ventline replacement operator with knob and screw for Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent with metal dome. Part number BV0115-04. We'll also be installing the replacement dome assembly for the Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent. Part number Bv0534-00. Now you'll need to first take apart the interior portion of the vent. There's four screws that hold the outer trim piece on.
You want to be extra careful here, as the plastic becomes very brittle as it gets older. Next there's two screws, one on the front and back, that hold the screen in place. These are small Phillips head screws. With that done, we'll go ahead and set the screen down out of the way. Next, you'll remove the two screws that hold the operator arm in place. You'll then slide the operator arm out through the slot.
We'll then take the new operator arm, slide it back up into place, and put the two screws back in, holding it to the frame of the vent. Next, we're going to need to go up on the roof of the trailer. Now we're ready to install the new cover. Just slide it in from one side and as you're doing that you want to make sure that the actuator arm slides through the round portion and then up into the channel. Now, it makes it a little easier if you have someone down in the trailer to help guide this through, or to raise and lower the actuator arm if need be. Now, we'll go ahead and lower the lid all the way down where we can bend the tab over. You want to make sure that both sides are bent far enough that there's no chance they can slide back out of the track.
Next, we'll need to go down into the trailer where we'll be attaching the friction clip to the operator arm. That way it can't come off of the new lid. You want to make sure that the concave side of the clip bears against the dome bar. If you've attached the handle temporarily, you will need to unscrew it so we can put the screen back up into place. Once the screen's back up into place you can go ahead and put the handle back on. Finally, we'll put the trim ring of the piece of plastic that goes around the outer edge with the four screws.
With that, that's all there is to it, to replacing the Ventline replacement operator with knob and screw for the Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent with metal dome. Part number BV0115-04. .

Replaces a lost or broken operator and knob on your Ventline Ventadome RV roof vent for motor homes and enclosed trailers. Properly sized mounting screw is included. This was an adequate replacement. I did have to do some creative filing to make lever that raises vent hood fit the slot so that it will slide and raise. Picture shows the difference in the old and new part. My Dremel tool ground it to the right clearance in short order. Now works perfectly!
Joshua did a great job of finding the right produce for my old RV. Order was picked fast and delivery on time. I will use etrailer in future for my camper and trailers needs. Thanks again!
Had a little difficulty forcing the disk through the narrow channel above the mechanism where it attaches to the vent. My vent is old, and has the plastic dome, so I probably should have asked if etrailer had an exact match for that. However, once I got it through the channel, it worked fine. As per my photo, I did keep the old style crank versus the knob supplied. Just my preference. Pleased that works.
I’ve never been disappointed with etrai ler
The rivet at the end is wider than the OEM part, it would not fit through the slot on the brace. Reqired a little filing to open the slot just a bit. No big deal.
Works great
As advertised
Hi folks:
I like ordering stuff from etrailer because the staff is very courteous, helpful and professional. Tamara and George J responded right away to my order and that's a great feeling. The part I ordered was almost an exact fit, the round part on the very end was a little wider than the original one but I just wiggled it through the slot in the vent and everything was fine. The grease they use on the gearing was pretty stiff so I lubed it up with spray lithium grease and it worked very smooth after that and I also used it on the vent track.
All in all the process went very smooth and I will use etrailer again for other purchases !!
Another GREAT product! Installed without a hitch. After installing the replacement operator I realized that the plastic vent dome cover had cracks in it from years of weather and had a minor leak problem. I searched the internet and again, eTrailer.com was the lowest in price. Ordered the replacement from eTrailer.com. Due here tomorrow.... FAST delivery too.

Working perfectly....... Well pleased with the product!
This is operator is a perfect replacement for my Ventline fan, model V2119, with electric lift. Remove the knob, then the lift motor gear matches the gears on the operator perfectly. I used this on my 1999 Airstream Excella. No modifications are required.

Still working perfectly after one year!
Service was excellent and works great. I did have to file a notch in the slide to accommodate for a longer stub on the back side of the part. All the new replacement parts had a longer stub on the back when the original stub was flush with the back of the arm where the wheel is pressed in.

Great
An easy replacement for my old lift arm, however I did need to drill a new screw hole in the support bar as this one didn't line up exactly over my old mounting holes, not a big deal, five seconds with a drill and it was done.

Still working one year later.
This product fits my vent perfectly. My old unit had a crank but I’m much happier with the knob. There wasn’t a video for this product but it wasn’t rocket science to figure out how to change it. The time that I placed the order to receipt was fast, and I received an email that it was on the way with tracking information. I’m very impressed with this company. I will use them again!

Great. Holding up with use and still easy to manipulate. Great product at a great price
The Vent crank [operator] and the fan blade fit a 1999 Tropi-Cal 6370 perfectly. I also bought four replacement Lexan Vent lids and they fit perfectly as well.
There were four roof vents and three needed new cranks as an August 2017 near miss hurricane either broke the arms or stripped the first two gear teeth that hold the lid down. The polypropylene old lids did not crack or leak, but I thought it time to get new Lexan lids as the shower stall lid and the Fantastic Fan over the kitchen area were both Lexan originally and are in perfect shape STILL. Takes some doing to figure out which parts fit because there are no part numbers on the old parts !
Been happy with everything
Other than having to drill one hole due to different frame length it worked perfect thank you
This crank did not fit the Ventline dome I have on my Haulmark trailer, the hole centers were too close and I had to drill another hole in the frame to make it work. The trailer I have is a 2006, 16' cargo trailer with a factory installed dome vent.
The two replacement "Operater with Knob and Screw for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof" vents are very good and exact replacement parts. I installed them this afternoon and now the vents open and close quite smoothly. Thanks for replacement parts. Without replacement parts, replacing a whole vent with recessed lights on a TrailManor RV would have been an expensive proposition. I would suggest enclosing some instructions. That would have been helpful. Thanks!!
Based upon my arm looking like this one, I ordered it. The mounting holes however do not match. Mine were 2 3/4” this body is shorter. The diagram fails to show the distance between mounting holes. After searching other sites, I find that they display the distance between screw holes, including width / height, This would have saved me time, and money. After fabricating a mounting plate, I installed it. (If I knew I had to get the measurements I would have)
Thank you Bridget and the entire etrailer staff!!! The part arrived within 5 days of placing my order and is an exact replacement part for the broken dome vent operator. The video is a must see prior to starting the replacement and was extremely helpful in removing the old part and replacing the new. Once again etrailer hit a home run with their parts availability, timely shipping and customer service! Etrailer.com is my only source for all of my trailer needs, period!
Exact replacement for an old vent that saves time and money unnecessarily replacing whole thing. My trailer is already bedded down for a long winters nap. We just received 10", melted and now are getting 10 to 16 inches-unusual for Billings MT.

Just fine
Product was just right and installed easily and that's coming from a 68 yr. old female! Quick shipping. One tiny little glitch - the screw provided to attach the knob to the mechanism didn't seem to fit. I used the old screw from previous mechanism and everything was perfect. Thank you for great service, follow up and a good product.

Just fine, thanks!
All the parts I bought fit my 2006 Pace motorcycle trailer with the Ventline roof vent. The vent assembly works fine now. The metal ventadome cover should work better here in Florida!!
I ordered this operator replacement for a Ventline roof vent as it was the closest one to what I needed. When it arrived, I soon found out it was not the one designed for my window, as the bracket was narrower than the original so the screw holes did not line up. If I used one or the other of the screw holes, the shaft did not line up with the hole in the screen. I lined up the operator so that the shaft was in line with the screen hole and drilled a hole where I needed it. The other hole then lined up with the large gap that the operator arm went through. I used a screw, nut and washer to go through this hole and was able to finish the job successfully. The screw to hold the knob on the mechanism was missing as it was supposed to be included. The packaging looked as if it had been re-wrapped and I suspect another customer had returned it to etrailer, sans the screw. I just used the screw from the defective operator I was returning. So now I have an operational unit, but not without having to "make do" with what I received. My original operator had a crank, but all that was available was the type with the knob, and I actually like that better. I believe that the distance between the screw holes should be included in the description to help future customers. Other than that, the folks at etrailer have been very helpful and the prices are reasonable.
Had to replace this part on a circa 2004 Cargo Pro trailer when I replaced the vent cover. Not identical to my original part but close enough that it works fine. Only had to drill to re-locate the mounting screws - piece of cake.
Nice user friendly website. Was able to find exactly the parts I was looking for for a reasonable price. Accurate descriptions helped assure me I was ordering the right things. The merchandise arrived ahead of schedule. I purchased two gearbox and arm assemblies and a fan blade to replace roof vent parts on a 1994 Jayco travel trailer. Would recommend you folks to anyone!
