After owning my travel trailer for about 5 years suddenly the vent screen fell apart as I removed it to clean out some pine straw. The replacement was a perfect fit and easy to install.
This installation is for a bathroom fan in a 2006 Lance truck camper model 1191. The frame and screen were an exact match for the original Ventline equipment VD0433 frame and VD0434 screen. The only minor issue I have with this product is that the tab that surrounds the knob that opens the vent is quite flexible and droops onto the knob. The knob operates but drags across the plastic tab and fingers hit the flap as you turn the knob.

I give it five stars because my camper is a 2005 lance 820 and I’m happy to find any parts that work. Is it perfect no but it is functional and the fit is near perfect. The frame that the screen fits into is somewhat flimsy and one of the corners had a slight bend in it however both of these issue were corrected when I secured it in place with the screws. The only real negative I have which is not a big deal is I have to slightly move the screen up with one hand while I open the vent as the handle hits the round plastic piece on the screen. Not sure if the round handle I’ve seen on other screens would solve this issue but overall I’m happy with this product as it prevents me from having to install a new one and cutting my roof seal. Installation was simple and took maybe 30 minutes tops!!
It was time to replace my 22 year old Vent Line vent screens with new ones. Even though the style changed from a crank handle to a turning knob the new ones fit perfectly in the same mounting holes. One vent had a push button switch for the fan so I upgraded to the newer rocker switch. Thanks etrailer for easy ordering and fast shipping.

Holding up just fine! Went thru a summer and winter. Very pleased.
The box was damaged and no protection for item inside. Item did make it without damage.
Staff expertise was very knowledgeable and beneficial. The produce also arrived sooner than expected.
installation was easy, I ended up putting two screws to keep in place. The old one had caulk around it to keep moisture from entering. I will probably add some at a later date.
The old screen was discolored and very brittle, the sun is brutal on these components.

I ended up putting caulk around the housing for my on satisfaction otherwise it is working as it should. So far it hasnt yellowed from exposure.
I got My screen holder and screen for my roof vent in less than a week through the USPS and everything went together easily. Very happy.
The ventline screen/frame part was great, as was the purchasing experience. I will be purchasing from etrailer in the future. The problem was the misleading installation videos by etrailer. Working on a part that is sitting on a work bench always looks easy. But there was no mention of removing the ceiling shroud, dealing with Robertson style screws, or the metal tangs on the fan support bar that you cannot see but clip into the screen frame. If you tell me it's easy to hone an engine cylinder, I'd agree, but I'd also mention that you have to remove the carburetor, intake manifold, heads and crankshaft. If it's part of the job, it should be at least mentioned in any instructional video.

Product is poorly engineered. Screen does not stay connected to frame. Had to rig alternative fastening. Go with the non-removable model.
Also, eTrailer promised next day delivery, which I paid extra for, where the order was inexplicably delayed 2 days. Frustrating. I could have ordered a superior part on from other retailer, with the same delivery date, lower cost.

The only reason for the 4 vs. 5 stars has to do with the product itself being flimsy / fragile. Wish they would make these things more sturdy.
Replacement for my 2017 Lance 2285. I made the mistake of trying to remove the screen to clean it and the retaining tabs and frame broke off in pieces due to extensive sun exposure. I was hoping this replacement would be a little sturdier, but it's not. Should be okay as long as I never try to remove the screen again!
You'll probably need basic wiring skills and supplies to install as I had to cut the existing wiring to get the old unit out. All-in-all it took about 90 minutes from start to finish.
