Today we're going to take a look at the replacement shank for the way-safe, for the 180 hitch 2 bow mounts. This is for a 2 1/2" hitch. Has a 4" drop, and a 14,500 lb weight capacity. Now this part will replace the shank that came standard with your way-safe part number WS4-25. Or the 180 hitch, 2B4-25 2 bow mounts. This shank will slide into your vehicle's 2 1/2" hitch receiver opening. Provides an attachment point for your bow-mount platform to attach to.
The multiple mounting holes right here will let that ball platform adjust the height. Now this can be used in the drop, or turned over in the rise position to ensure level towing. This is made of a rust-proof aluminum construction. It is made in the USA. A few specs on this: it's designed to fit 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" trailer hitch receivers, maximum gross towing weight capacity is 14,500 lbs, maximum drop in this position with the ball mount at the lowest platform or at the lowest setting from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform would be 4" drop maximum. If we switched it over, and put the ball platform at the highest point, from the measurement from the top of the shank, to the top of the ball platform would be 5" maximum rise. If you notice these holes, they are actually at 1" center to center increments. Or, it will give you an incremental height adjustment of 1". Thank should do it.
