Hello, everybody. This is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this installation kit for the Westin Diamondstep, Surestep and Surestep Deluxe XLT bumpers. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1973 to 2000 Chevy full-size half-ton, three-quarter ton and one ton trucks. Fits the '72 to '93 Dodge full-size trucks and the '67 to '98 Ford full size half-ton, three-quarter ton and one ton trucks.
Now, because it fits so many trucks, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year-model vehicle, and it'll show you if this kid will work for your application. Now, this will let you mount your Westin Diamondstep, Surestep or Surestep Deluxe XLT bumper on your vehicle. The brackets right here, they are a steel construction. Has a nice black powder coat finish on to resist corrosion, and this part, as you can see, will include all the mounting hardware you need, all the brackets we talked about, and even a nice set of instructions. There is no drilling required.
It's all pretty much a bolt-on operation, and the bumpers we do sell separately on our website, but that should do it for the review on the installation kit for the Westin Diamondstep, Surestep and Surestep Deluxe XLT bumpers.

Install your Westin Diamondstep, Surestep or Surestep Deluxe XLT bumper quickly and easily with this custom fit mounting kit. Includes all necessary hardware.I replaced the rear bumper and trailer hitch on my 1990 Ford F-350 recently after my son backed into a concrete pole. Here are some of my thoughts and observations. I will say that e trailer was very very quick to ship and responsive to correcting a mistake in ordering the installation kit. Overall e trailer was very good. The instructions supplied with the Westin kit /bumper / Curt trailer hitch were not great. Be very careful before you drill anything to make sure your lineup is correct. The instructions should be seen as more of an outline and then use common sense to install. The hardware on the trailer hitch (Curt) was excellent with good welds, lineups and symmetry. The hardware on the install kit was good and I think sufficient (not as hefty as the original), and the bumper itself fits well and looks good - but not as heavy duty as the original. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time on your back drilling up through the frame. Eye protection is a must! Over all the install looks very good and the hitch is I think stronger than the original.
Just got the Bumper Install kit, I never got an email with any tracking info ! The package appears to be in good shape and am taking it to my mechanic today for my Bumper install I’ll let you know the outcome when I get mt truck back ! Thanks !

I’m surprised the bumper got here before the mounting kit did. I would’ve thought the mounting kit would’ve took less time to ship. However, the order experience has been very very good and I would recommend any time to order from these people. Thank you.
Mounts fit well, seem to be high quality. Takes a little bit of fiddling to get bumper aligned right but after that everything tightens down and seems to be holding well.
