Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Bow/Stern Tie-Down for the Yakima Water Sports Carriers, this is for a quantity of one. Now, this part will replace the bow/stern tie-down on your Yakima kayak paddle board or canoe carrier. It includes all the pieces here, it includes this metal hook, it includes this 10 foot long plain tie-down strap, and basically, what you'll do is take your metal hook, attach it to this end of the tie-down strap, and once you get it connected to that metal hook just like that, then your hook will attach to your vehicle. And if you'll noticed, on this plain tie-down strap, there's about a 12 inch long section that they have this nice heavy duty clear plastic cover, and the reason they do that is 'cause when you connect this to your vehicle with the hook, this cover will protect your vehicle from getting any damage from the strap when you tighten it down. And then it also comes with the buckle end or the buckle strap, this will connect the kayak or paddleboard canoe to this tie-down strap.
Basically, you'll just run this through there like that, attach it to your kayak or paddleboard, and then take the other end of the strap right here, and then run up through your cam buckle and then pull it tight as you need it, so this buckle strap is what'll attach to your kayak or paddleboard, and then this strap, using the hook will attach to your vehicle. Now, this is designed to work with kayak carriers the HullyRoller part number Y04035, the BigStack Y04041, the BowDown Y04042, and the EvenKeel part number Y04052. It will work with the paddleboard carriers the SUPDawg part number Y04075, the SupPup part number Y04078, the ShowDown part number Y04081, and then it work with the rooftop canoe carrier, which is part number Y04056. Works with all those carriers that we do sell separately on our website. But again, it will include this buckle strap, the plain strap, and then the metal hook.
