Hey everyone, it's Evangeline, and today we're taking a look at the Replacement Secondary Pull Pin for your Yakima Bike Racks right here at etrailer. So we actually have Yakima OnRamp right here, and this is the original part that came with it. Now the cable got snagged and was pulled off of the pin. So what happens is when we take the pin out, you're just gonna have to hold onto it or lose the pin. So if that has ever happened to you, here's the replacement part for it. So this has the gray knob, you have your 16 millimeter barrel, you have your little push pin there and then you have this cable to secure it to the rack.
This also has a coating or a plastic cover over that metal cable, which is good because I definitely scratched up my thumb with the old one. This does not include the mounting hardware, so hopefully you still have yours on your bike rack. And you're also going to need a T30 sized torx wrench to loosen that bolt. So you'll find that bolt on this side of your OnRamp bike shank. And once that's loose, hold onto that bolt and that washer.
Now put your bolt in your washer through the cable of your new push pin and put that on your bike rack. With that tightened down, that's it. You are able to replace the secondary pull pin for your bike rack. So for the different parts of your Yakima bike racks we have the replacement parts for you. Hopefully this video will help you out with seeing what is included, what's not included, what you actually need.
If you need other parts, let's say these knobs for the track or parts of your wheel assembly, you can find them here at etrailer. Check out our pictures and check out our videos to help you out..

The new one I will install with not only the steel cable, but a bungee cord as well…. So it won’t be able to bounce off the pavement until it breaks.
This product fit my Yakima bike rack perfectly. It helps hold the rack in upwards position which has helped stop the rattling and knocking the rack makes when my bike isn't mounted. The part was shipped out and I received it fast!!! In 2 days. Great service from this company.
Everything went well, parts in stock, shipping costs low, received parts in a timely fashion, installation was a perfect fit! Thanks for the excellent service.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this part available, ordered it and I was notified along the way of its delivery. It arrived ahead of schedule plus, it’s an original part so works perfectly. Thank you.
This is a part to replace one that was lost due to not being properly inserted. It fits perfectly with the only complaint being the sharp exposed strands of cable. Constantly pricking my fingers if I’m not really careful.
First off, etrailer is awesome! They got my part to me quickly when I originally ordered it. The reason I ordered it in the first place is that there is a design flaw. The cable that is used to prevent losing the pin eventually gets chopped in half from shoving it into the rack over and over...and yes, you guessed it...you lose the pin. Also, the hole where the cable is attached is too far down on the pin. It needs to be in the head of the pin where it will not have any contact with the rack itself. This would also ensure that the pin is more secure in the rack since more of the pin is able to slide into the rack rather than stopping halfway. So heads up Yakima! I'm sure I will eventually have to order another one.
the pin works, it just needs a more thicker cable to it doesn't break off from where it is tied to, otherwise works as it should
Part delivered as ordered and on-time.
Easy to order and delivered quickly. I know I can rely on etrailer!
What I needed and arrived when promised.
Great service and rapid delivery!
satisfied with the overall purchase... quick and easy
I'll tell you if I order something on the 5th of the month and it's not there by the end of the month there's serious problems with the business. And worse yet is the reaction of the business when you call. They say give it another week. Their website said the product never left the building. This is a strange business.
Perfect execution. The right part, priced reasonably, delivered promptly--no fuss, no feathers.
I lost this safety pin after only using my bike rack a few times. When I went to the site where I got the rack they were going to charge me over $16 for shipping of this $8 part. I called a dealer and he told me about etrailer. I was very pleased that they only charged $2.99 for shipping.
Good pull pin… crazy long wait to get this pin!!!!
etrailer made it super easy to order my replacement parts and the parts arrived in just. Few days. The parts were wrapped approximately and arrived without damage.
Will order from them again in the future.
The pin keeps the bike rack from rattling. I installed it in minutes. Thanks
Customer service and support is really good. I had a couple of questions and they went out of their way to get me answers. I will definitely buy from them again.
perfect. worth the year wait!!

Still working perfectly. Thanks!
Purchasing through etrailer was quick and easy. Customer service was very nice and professional.
Good service. But the part as simple as it is, and seems, is junk. The ball bearing always rusts up and becomes very difficult to get into place. It is also compounded by the inherently bad design of the rack itself. There is a new model for the rack, but that doesn't help those of us stuck with the hold up.
Good OEM replacement part
Product was exactly as it should be. Everything went as it should with the order. Definitely, a positive experience.
