Replaces the spine for your Yakima HoldUp bike rack for a 2" hitch receiver.

Note: If your 2" Yakima HoldUp bike rack is black, this is the correct spine assembly. If it is gray, you will need 888-0127.

Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement black spine and shank assembly for your Yakima holdup bike rack for two inch hitches. Now, this part will replace the spine and the shank assembly on your Yakima holdup bike carrier for two inch hitch receiver. It's designed to fit the Yakima bike racks part number Y02443, which is the HoldUp two, and the Y02443-2, which is the HoldUp four.You'll notice it is black in color. Does include one spine and shank assembly. Basically, what you do is this shank portion right here is what'll insert into your two inch hitch receiver, and then the spine right here is what'll bolt to your bike rack. You'll notice on the end of the spine, it does have the standard Yakima bottle opener on the end.
And just to show you once what this does, is with your bike rack installed, what you can do is right here, this red knob on this pin right here, if you push down on it, and pull it out, it'll allow it to tilt away from the vehicle, and allow you to open your hatch and get into the back of the vehicle. And then, if you just pull it back up, it'll lock it into place. And it'll also allow you to fold it up. In other words, when you have no bikes on your bike rack, and you fold the bike rack up, and you want to fold it up for storage purposes, again, just push down it, pull it out, but this time, lift up on it. And when you do that, you'll notice it'll lift it up into a 90 degree position closer to the vehicle.And then, again, when you're ready to put your bikes on, just pull that out, lower it down, and it opens completely to put your bikes on your bike rack.

Replacement Spine for Yakima HoldUp was purchased to a make second 2” Yakima HoldUp rack system for my daughter. Since I'm not using Yakima HoldUp +2 , I just use the two trays and put on the replacement spine and Yakima hardware # 8890260 which I ordered from etrailer.com. Now I have second complete 2” Yakima HoldUp - Y02443 system which is sold out everywhere. Thank you etrailer CS for professional customer service and quick turnaround merchandise exchange. You got may vote and I'll continue shop at etrailer.com in the future.

Its been a year and it is still perfect in functionality and cosmetic. I got many compliments from others when they saw our bike rack setup.
I needed some replacement parts for an old Yakima HoldUp bike rack. etrailer had exactly what I needed.The parts were perfect.
Thanks to the availability of this item, I will be able to create a complete Holdup rack from the parts of a +2 unit that I don't use. Etrailer was the only place this was available and the price (including shipping) was very reasonable
This was just the right part I expected. I had ordered from another vendor and part was incorrect. I have ordered from etrailer before for some other parts and all arrived undamaged in a timely manner. I was able to replace the bike holders with no problems and am using now.
I only need the hitch portion (which was out of stock), not the spine, but it fit the OEM parts perfectly. Exceedingly well shipped and arrived far quicker than expected. Thank you.
Arrived fast! Looks like the original but haven’t installed it yet so I just have to assume it will work.

Works great as expected. The only thing it doesn’t come with is the safety pin, a secondary support pin in case the primary breaks.

Exactly as expected.

My 14 inch holdup converted to 2” is working super. I added a Two bike extension. Now, my wife, twin granddaughters and myself bike together
