Today we're taking a look at the wear strips for Yakima bars. These wear strips provide load protection and wind noise reduction for Yakima, HD or heavy duty cross bards. They simply protect your gear in cross bars from the wear and tear that normally takes place when loading and unloading your roof accessories or your bar accessories. It fits part numbers Y01156, Y01157, Y01158, and Y01159. All of those are sold separately and available and etrailer.com. The stripping is a durable rubber construction.
It's an easy cut to length and press in design, and this part number includes two 74 inch long rubber strips. That's going to do it for today's look at the wear strips for Yakima bars.

Product is as expected, easy install, works to protect gear, and finishes the bar nicely. Gave it 3 stars because it should have already been included with the HD bars I purchased and not considered an upgrade.
