This is going to replace the factory fairing that came with your Yakima MegaWarrior Cargo Basket, both the large and extra large cago baskets. So this will work to help reduce the noise and drag of your roof rack, which is one of the most common problems that you have with anything that's mounted on your roof, the noise that it creates. So this is going to mount onto the front, it's going to help that wind and air pass over your basket, so that you're not going to have those issues anymore.If you've lost or damaged your original fairing this is going to be an exact replacement, from Yakima, to replace that original, so you can trust it's going to fit. You're not going to have to worry about compatibility or fit issues.You will need the hardware kit to get this installed.
It does not come with any hardware. So if your original hardware works still this should be very easy to get installed, but if you don't you can find that here at eTrailer using the part number that you see on the screen there.So overall just a great option to make sure that that annoying noise is going to be cut down and help to improve your fuel efficiency, and those sort of things, by eliminating some of the drag that you get with your rooftop cargo box. Installation was easy and the fairing seems to lower the wind noise level. It is too early to tell whether it will reduce the fuel consumption.
