Replacement Endcap for Yakima FrontLoader and ForkLift Wheel Mount Bike Carrier - Qty 1

I thought this would be a one off but it is a high quality yakima product. Was backordered for a while but etrailer kept me updated.1307324

It took over 5 months to deliver. That's pretty bad. The description leaves some doubt as to whether it is the correct part. In this case, it is the part I was hoping for, but I bought two (2) different parts because I was unsure which was correct. I can't tell the difference between this part (Item No. Y80140) and this part: Item No. Y88801881307132

I can see how this might be confusing as these two parts do resemble each other. The difference is that this part is used if you have aluminum trays and part # Y8880188

$6.45 is used if you have steel trays.

Lost the end cap- this replacement worked. BYW, this one is exactly the same product as Item #Y8880188 except it has the Yakima logo on it.1347091

I have the Yakima Front Loader, which has a very similar rear frame to the Forklift. I bought my Front Loader used from the REI garage sale and it was missing the rear wheel tray and end cap. This item slid into the frame easily, but it was not a snug fit. I could easily slide the end cap off with one hand (without even touching the side release buttons. In order to fix the problem, I secured the end cap to the frame with some red electrical tape. Thus, the product works with user ingenuity.228381

This equipment last forever, but unfornately you can't say the same for all of the parts. Bought this for a Yakima Forklift rack and it worked like a charm. I'm glad that etrailer is around for my out-of-date equipment needs. Thanks, guys.871690

This was a simple replacement after I lost one of the end caps of my Yakima Forklift. etrailer had the product in stock at a very reasonable price, the order was filled quickly and arrived in the mail in a few days. The end cap, however, is a little smaller than the original Yakima one, and it fits loosely. It also does not snap in securely. It is not a structural part, so I'll wrap a piece of electrician's tape around it. For $[...] it's OK, but definitely not OEM.268071
