Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima High or Low Mount Mounting Brackets for your Yakima SlimShady Awnings. These brackets will replace the standard mounting kit included with your SlimShady Awning. And they'll allow you to mount the awning either higher or lower on your vehicle. These will work with the Yakima SlimShady Awnings, model numbers that you see on the screen there. So whether you have the 4 and a half foot by 6 and a half foot, or the 6 and a half foot by 6 and a half foot, or that 8 foot by 8 foot awning, this will work for you.
These brackets are going to be held onto your crossbars with the included hardware. This hardware will allow you to install these brackets in the T-slots on your LockNLoad, HD bars, JetStream, or standard crossbars. They'll also allow you to install on the back of your LockNLoad 4.5 or HD bar to provide shade for the rear cargo area. These are a powder coated steel construction so they are gonna be very heavy-duty and durable. I'll give you a few measurements here.
This is going to be right at 5 and 3 quarters of an inch long by approximately 3 and a quarter of an inch wide. And about 4, we'll call it 4 and a half inches tall. They only weigh about just under 4 pounds, about 3.78 pounds. So if you are wanting to have more control over the height of your awning whether you're needing more head room walking under it or if you need it lower so that you can have more stored up on top of your vehicle. This is going to be the kit from Yakima.
So you can trust it is going to work with your SlimShady Awning. So you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. It's gonna do exactly what you need it to do. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

fit perfectly for mounting the yakima og slimshady (the actual original one) to my jeep gladiator "Jeep" branded rack, which is just yakima aero bars. it tucks the awning down and closer to the roof line instead of up and way out like the regular clampy brackets. The brackets have three bolt holes so you can get 2 different heights for each orientation.
