Today, we're going to be taking a look at the replacement mounting bracket for the Yakima LoadWarrior or MegaWarrior cargo basket. Part number: Y8870040. When you get your replacement parts, these are all the pieces that are going to come with it: the screws, the turn knobs, and the brackets. Now, you'll need a replacement piece when your original one either breaks, some pieces get lost, whatever it is that happens, this is what you'll get. Now we'll show you how to install it. Now I can take our replaced support bracket, push that in place, grab our metal bracket, put that in place as well, and finish installing our clamp. With everything tightened down, we're ready to go. Took me about 30 minutes to secure all four. It was easy! Product was better than expected and loved the tracking for delivery! Would highly recommend!

I bought a 2021 4 Runner trail edition, it came with a Yakima rack but was missing some of the parts. I bought these replacement parts, easy assembly and good instructional video on how to install them. Quick shipping as well.

I purchased the 18" extension for the Yakima LoadWarrior. That means the 'drawbridge' between the two factory mounting brackets just got a little longer. Fortunately, I have 3 crossbars on top of my pickup's canopy and was able to add a third LoadWarrior mounting bracket to spread the load. etrailer.com was the key to success with this. I searched and searched on Yakima's website for the mounting bracket but impossible to find. I did a search on 'Yakima LoadWarrior mounting bracket' and etrailer.com's came up in the results. etrailer.com (1) had the part in stock (2) at a reasonable price for part and shipping which they (3) shipped promptly to my address. etrailer.com is a good place to look for Yakima accessories.

Replacement parts for Factory Yakima Load Warrior roof basket. Due to the AZ sunload my old brackets had seen better days. New parts should keep me loaded up for another 7 years.

I will be using these for a custom built roof basket. They seemed the most universal for the design and were an affordable price. They shipped very quickly!
I used these as replacements for Curt rack mounts. Since Curt doesn't make mounts available for purchase. With some small, non-structural, adjustments they worked really well. etrailer was great. I contacted them about the size and spacing of the holes on these mounts and they were very accommodating.
Jason used the Yakima clamps to replace the original clamps that were lost or broken. Using these on a Curt basket will not move the mounting location. The clamps can be forward and back on the basket as long as the distance between bars is at least 15 inches. Remember too, that the clamps do not have to be perfectly centered on the bars. On your CR-V, what is the distance from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar?

Patrick B - 11/12/2013Well I ordered these brackets for my Yakima load warrior and after placing my order I was notified that it was on back order due to manufacture delays. I wasn't happy but I am glad that the service that etrailer gave me was above the norm. Anyway, I got the product as promised and it is what I ordered. I just installed it on the basket so I'll put it on my car this weekend. Great product and great service from a great company. This is my second time doing business with etrailer I think and will def be coming back.

Not really a product review per-se, the Yakima Loadwarrior/Megawarrior mounts are what they are. What was great was etrailers service and shipping speed. Head out to the Blueridge for family vacation time and wanted to use the roof basket to haul extra gear due to the dog going with us. Bought the Yakima basket from a friend and it had always been missing one of the brackets to mount it. Decided late in the game to try and order 4 new replacements, these are not all that easy to find online with out buying the whole [email protected] basket again. E-trailer actually came through in a pinch...ordered friday night received the next monday! Man that was awesome. Mounted the rack and ready to load it up on our trip in the morning! As far as the product, I'd like to see Yakima make a mount like all the current rooftop cargo boxes have....where you twist a knob and it rachets tight against your roof rails....that would [email protected]$$!
I added a 3rd OEM roof rack crossbar to my 4Runner for added support for my extended Yakima MegaWarrior. These worked great attaching a 5th and 6rd attachment point since the Yakima just came with only 4 attachment brackets.
Had them on my cargo carrier. On my Jeep Cherokee. Got an extension for my carrier. Got two more cross bar for roof rack. So I got the same kind of clamps they work really well. On Yakima racks.

I bought a roof rack used and it came with only 3 of the brackets. I picked this one up hoping it would work. It fits perfectly, has held up to numerous road trips, and has given us no issues at all. I would not hesitate to purchase again, if needed.
