Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement hardware for the Yakima Fairings. Now folks, this will replace up to four mounting brackets for most Yakima Fairings. It will not work with the Yakima MegaWarrior. So I just wanna say that up front. Again, it's gonna replace four mounting brackets.
You're gonna get all the hardware necessary. You got two cinder brackets, two outer brackets. You've got the bolts with the hex keys for securing the Fairing to the crossbars. You've got the little plastic guys here. Those are like feet to put down when you put on the paint so it doesn't scratch the paint.
And on top of that, you got the four matching pads, and then the four plugs that simply just push in and hold in place. So very simple application today. We're looking at the replacement hardware kit for the Yakima Fairings. I'm Steve with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for watching.

Plug n play replacement. Haven’t had to think about it over the last year.
This was exactly what I needed to fix my old Yakima fairing. Saved me from having to spend $140 on a new one. And the price was reasonable.
e trailer did a great job getting this to me. This is hardware to replace the old stuff that was on my fairing. Worked perfectly.

Great! I expect them to last for several years, just like the hardware they replaced.
I guess it's excellent because it is what it is... like... if you have a yakima fairing you kind of need the mounts.
Fairing looks nice and it does reduce wind noise. I don't think the fairing helped with my gas mileage though- I do have a pretty significant reduction in highway mileage with the roof rack on.
The mounts (what I ordered) are for round bars and secure similar to other yakima accessories- two mounts are attached with a sort of screw and the two center mounts are simply clipped in place. The kit comes with some rubber pads that prevent the mounts from rubbing the paint off your roof. The fairing is held on with some plastic fasteners that are just pressed in- these seem like they could break easy and indeed the ones that came with my fairing were all snapped off.
Pretty easy to install... go ahead and get these if you're like me and your old mounts became brittle and snapped.

No problem! Everything is working swimmingly, no problems to speak of.
All items exactly as described. Had an old wind fairing from a Yakima roof basket and these were perfect for adapting it onto my car crossbars, though now the lettering on the fairing is upside down.
Exactly what I needed to replace the worn-out assembly of my Yakima fairing, which only holds out so many years with its constant exposure.

The Yakima rack is working fine. I also use it to transport my kyak to the lake.

My rack stays on the car 277 and the parts are holding up great.
