This product is what I needed for a 10 year old Yakima rack that is no longer made. The Yakima parts department wanted to sell me an entire kit for $17, which included this part, but etrailer got me what I needed and only that. Thanks! Not etrailer's fault, but this pin is at least twice as long as it needs to be, so you end up spending a lot of time screwing and unscrewing. Minor design flaw/annoyance. etrailer's service was good.

Like a lot of folks, cannot understand why it's so long. Using the standard wrench is not an option, have to use a socket. Glad it worked with the same lock that comes with the bolt for 2" receivers.

I recently was given a yakima bike rack and was having a hitch put on my car. After looking at the bike carrier , i noticed some pieces were missing. I looked on the web and found everything i needed at etrailer.com. i ordered the bolt and clip that holds the carrier to.the hitch. The price was very cheap and i received it within a week. I will be ordering some of the other missing pieces soon from etrailer.com. Im thankful i found this website.
I traded in my previous SUV with hitch, and inadvertently left the hitch bolt with that vehicle. Since this was for an older Yakima bike rack and I had a new 2 inch hitch receiver installed, I initially ordered a hitch bolt for that two inch receiver. Unfortunately, the older Yakima bike rack is built to fit either a 2" or a 1 1/4 " receiver. As a result, a 2 inch hitch bolt would not fit. This hitch bolt is for a 1 1/4 receiver, but works perfectly on a multi purpose (2" or 1 1/4") Yakima bike rack (Hold-Up model?)

This bolt is way too long for the 1 1/4 inch Yakima Hold Up. It is really sized for a two inch hitch. It also didn't tread onto my rack very well and became so difficult to screw on that it is now only partially threaded and my rack wobbles around. I would send it back but the shipping cost doesn't justify that.

Product arrived in a very timely fashion. Not sure if I will use it or not. I'm just having a problem with a used bike rack I bought and finding a part that will provide a tight, solid fit. The part I ordered should theoretically work, but I think the rack I have is missing the bolt inside the connector that this pin threads through.
I ordered the mounting hardware for the 1-1/4" hitch, and received a long one that is exactly like the one that came with the hitch, and is long enough to use on the 2" hitch. I would really like the shorter bolt if it is available.
Original Yakima Bike rack was about 10mm too short for the new hitch. This fit perfectly and have no issues.

It works, but as others have said, its far too long. Fully screwing in does make for a secure attachment, but the spring clip is entirely redundant. recommend - yes, but it would be interesting to note the cost and utility of a similar thread standard bolt.
I somehow lost this bolt during the winter which meant I couldn't put my bike rack up. I was super excited to find the bolt from etrailer and super please with how quickly it reached me!
