This is almost all of what's needed to install the Autowbrake. I rated 5 stars because the essentials are there, and provide guides when running to the hardware store to buy more ring terminals. The box itself is well built. I didn't use any of the weather-tight crimp connectors. The lack of mounting screws I can understand, because different ones are needed for mounting on metal than wood. I used 1.5" long self-tapping metal screws to mount onto my trailer's tongue.

This box has plenty of room to mount the Autowbrake wiring and the wiring from two 7 way cables. I chopped off the existing 7 way plug and purchased a new plug/cable to have enough wire for installation.

Good kit, but maybe some more ring terminals instead of the weather tight crimp connectors would be nice.

etrailer is an amazing company. This was the very first time I placed an order with etrailer and it was way above and beyond my expectations. Everything I needed for my trailer was in stock. I placed my order on a Sunday night and it was shipped for FREE the following day. My order was delivered 4 days later in excellent condition with the correct items that I ordered. It was easy to track my order from the warehouse to my front door from the shipping email that I received from etrailer. Thanks for the great experience! You will always have my business!! God Bless!

  • Can the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller Be Used on a 5th Wheel Trailer
Yes, it is possible to use the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 on your 5th wheel trailer being towed by your 2013 Ram 3500. The Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 wires to the junction box on your trailer and will work for your 5th wheel as long as it does not have more than 3 axles. If your 5th wheel does not have a junction box, you can use the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted Electric Brake Controller # 3430001-JBK.

  • Installation Kit For Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller
The Autowbrake # 3430001 installs on the trailer side so you would generally just utilize the 7 way plug already on the trailer. We do recommend using a junction box to connect the Autowbrake wiring harness. We actually make an installation kit specifically for this purpose with part # 3430001-JBK. This will include everything you need for installation.

  • Recommended 7 way Connector for 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan Using Autowbrake
The Autowbrake # 3430001 is a great choice! To add a 7 way to your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan you'll want to use the # ETBC7L, since it doesn't require the wiring of a brake wire into the vehicle like the # ETBC7. You will still need to run a wire for the 12v power, but other than than it's going to be really easy to install since it plugs into your existing 4 way. To complete installation of the Autowbrake I recommend using the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted...

To use the Autowbrake with your 2016 Toyota RAV4 you need the following parts: 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit - # ETBC7L Curt No-Drill Bracket - # C57202 Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller - # 3430001 Junction Box and Installation Kit - # 3430001-JBK The 7-Way kit plugs into your 4-Way and then has a power lead that connects to the battery on your RAV4 which is needed for the Autowbrake, and the Curt bracket is needed to hold the 7-Way plug near your hitch receiver. • Can 5-Way Trailer Connector Be Used for 12V Trailer Power
I'd be happy to help you out with this! The 5-Way connectors are designed for smaller gauge wire that we see with light circuits as opposed to the larger wire used for 12V power. Because of this you'll need to install a 7-Way connector on your trailer as it will be able to handle that larger wire and the power coming through it. To accomplish this you can use a simple 7-Way connector like the Pollak # PK12706 or a junction box setup like what we have with the etrailer Kit # 3430001-JBK...

  • How to Wire a Freightliner 7-Way to Match Utility Trailer 7-Way Functions
The best way to make your Freightliner compatible with a trailer 7-Way is to test the functions with a circuit tester # PTW2993 and match sure they match. I'm attaching pin-out diagrams of both the trailer and vehicle 7-Ways that you can use as a guide to make your connections - just be sure to wire everything up by function and not by the wire color. I believe what you're needing is the Junction Box and Installation Kit # 3430001-JBK along with the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 7-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket # PK11720 and then 8' - 10' of the Deka Wire - Jacketed 7-Wire # DW04914-1 (sold by the foot). Typically the junction box is located on the trailer side of things so there aren't any kits that come with the tow vehicle connector, but this combination should do the trick! • How To Hook Up Lights On a Flat-Bed Without Splicing
In order to achieve your goal of not splicing into the factory trailer wiring harness we are basically going to create a wiring harness for the flatbed which would plug into the factory trailer connector. • Adding 4-Way to R-Pod for Light Kit on Bike Rack
The Cargo Carrier Light Kit # 52014 is a good light kit but I you might consider looking at the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 instead because they install by via adhesive instead of brackets and the lights have connectors that will be a little easier to disconnect. When it comes to adding a 4-Way wiring to the back of your R-Pod I recommend using the Junction Box Kit # 3430001-JBK on the tongue of your trailer.
