Each shoe is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. Includes hold-down clips.It’s really too early to give a full objective review of the brake shoes, but the product looks good and mostly met the requirements for a replacement part. Their was a small detail with the top spring ,in that the holes in the shoes were too small to accommodate a complete fit. I had to grind down the end of the spring to make it work. Time will tell on how the shoes wear and for how long.

No complaints or mishaps after a year since installation. The new brake components are fulfilling their purposeful function so far. I would however in retrospect, replace the entire brake assembly instead of individually like I did. This would alleviate problems of installation when mixing part components.
Replaced some crusty old cracked lining. I had the old style manual adjustment 3500# Dexters. They fit. They worked. Lost a star, since there wasn't much pad material.
etrailer had the parts in stock that I needed at a reasonable price. The parts (brakes and bearing seals) have been in service on an light duty equipment trailer for about a year now which I use weekly for 8 months a year. Has been good so far.
The help over the phone was great. Unfortunately the incorrect part was sent for one of the inner bearings.

We were told by an etrailer representative that these would fit my camper and they didn’t. Then when I went to return I have to pay shipping and I was charged by etrailer double what it would have cost me to ship them back myself.

a year later review… about 25,000 miles on the trailer and I use near maximal trailer brake (just under where it will lock up the wheels) all the time. Though most driving is interstate much is going down mountains and I do not have exhaust brakes, so I probably am abusive to these.
I took one drum off a few months ago and everything looked fine and there was not much wear that I could tell. No complaints.

The product arrived on time and in perfect condition. The brake shoes were an identical match to my original shoes and installation was completed without any issues. I appreciated that etrailer notified me when my order had been received and again when it had shipped, along with tracking information.
Great replacement, old ones were cracked. These are on a 99 trailer, haven't pulled it since replacing, so hope I got the adjustment correct as these are not self adjusting. Great company

Worked great and were easy to install.
1st, the website makes it super easy to find the correct brake shoes for my race car trailer, 2nd, my order was filled super fast and shipped, I received my parts in 5 days from the day I placed my order, and I live 6 states away from where my parts were shipped from. 3rd, brake shoes are exactly as advertised and are good quality, and fit perfect on my trailer, 4th, shipping was free.
The brake shoes fit perfectly and the price was reasonable.
Just received today. I have already installed and tested them on my 16' tandem axle utility trailer with Dexter 3500# axles. They fit perfectly. I used all my existing hardware as it was still in good shape. I hope they last as long as the OEM shoes. My local part store did not have these in stock. They could have gotten them in the next day, but were $30 more than etrailer.com! Fast shipping. I got them less than 48 hours after ordering. The online video was helpful to know which shoe went to the front and which to the back. Thanks etrailer!
I appreciate you keeping me informed as always. I am 85 yrs old so it will take me awhile to get these installed. One wheel brake per day. They should last me until i'm 95, then I won't to much care.. The linings look professionally installed on the shoes. If you need some spare shoes, let me know.

Fit was great. Old shoes were not worn out, but one of the linings had separated. Removed old shoes cleaned up the springs and parts and reassembled. Piece of cake!

I have consulted with our installers and they have confirmed that there is a specific way that these shoes are supposed to be installed. In order for the springs to fit properly, you will need to the springs before adjusting the brake shoes to the hubs. What we do suggest is to replace that spring you have grinded with part # AKBRKR-SP in order to prevent any defects in the braking assembly.
