Automotive-Grade Friction Material

Each shoe is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps to prevent cracking and crumbling. This durability helps to prevent mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.

The friction material is also SAE-N certified, which means that it is an environmentally safe product that complies with California and Washington regulations regarding the composition of brake pads. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking that can endure the test of time, but it is also environmentally friendly and safe for use throughout the United States and Canada.

Axle seals and brake pads arrived on time and were a perfect fit on my 1965 Airstream trailer with a 2008 Henschen axle

Fast service and a good product

by:

I am in the process of putting on the shoes. They look good and are fitting as they should. I will know more about them when I get the installation finished and get to put them to the test on the road. As of right now I would recommend the to other customers. I live in a somewhat rural area and parts of this nature are hard to find but thanks to the good people at etrailer they have been able to get me what I needed. Gave the driver a good review of your help and products and he was very impressed sure to get you some more advertising.

I am very well pleased with the way the parts are performing. Once again I want to thank you for your help in getting me the right parts. You all stand out as one of the top companies I have done business with. You go the extra mile to make sure the customer has the right parts and then follow up on it. You all are to be applauded for that. Not many companies like that any more. Once again a big THANK YOU and may God bless you all.

by:

As expected all good.

by:

The brake shoes fit perfectly, were inexpensive, & were delivered fast and free. The only reason for the 4 star rating is I haven't used the trailer since installing to see how well the brakes hold up.

still working fine

by:

Use these on a 5th wheel RV. The shoes seem O.K., although I have seen some chunking of brake friction material. Pieces breaking off maybe the size of a nickel. Fairly easy to install but a little awkward to adjust with a brake spoon.

by:

Trailer brake shoes, rubber bumpers, and roof vents came in exactly as ordered. This was my 2nd order. Very satisfied. Thanks to your workers for helping us get parts through this crisis

by:

I received the brake shoes for my dexter axles and had no trouble installing them. They worked great as I took a trip from Missouri to Florida and Back with no issues.
They are well made and were an exact duplicate of the ones that came on the trailer.

by:

I've ordered many items from eTrailer. Good products arrived promptly. Excellent technical support. Definitely one of my favorite online businesses. This order was for replacement brake shoes part number AKBRKR-S-12 for my 5TH wheel. I've installed several of these shoes before without any issues.

by:

Finally got around to installing the new parts and they fit perfectly!! They also seem to work just as the Dr. ordered. They installed very easily, adjusted as they should and they stop the trailer when applied. What more could I ask for except that perhaps one of your guys come here and install them rather than me doing it !! Just kidding. As far as I can tell everything about them is right on the money. Thanks for the help and info regarding this purchase. Your help and advise regarding these parts for an older (read antique) trailer was very, very helpful in getting the correct parts for an easy install. Thanks again for all your help and advise and looking forward to the next time we do business. Everyone across the country should do business with your guys. You make it so easy.

by:

These shoes appeared to be exactly like the original shoes on the dexter axle and backing plate. They look like nice shoes, installed fine and performed well on the test ride. Saved money over the Dexters and I'd order these again. Ordering process with etrailer was smooth and reliable as usual.

by:

The whole experience was excellent. I installed new brake shoes and seals today. The parts were a perfect match. I ordered the parts during the Christmas rush and was told they should arrive within a week and half which was no problem to me. They arrived in less than 4 days and the job is done. Very professional. Thank you!

by:

XLNT communication and FAST shipping w/ tracking. I will always look for more stuff from this seller!

by:

Trailer brakes are working fine. Thank you etrailer for a good deal on a great product!

by:

Great customer services very friendly and great to work with you on anything. Will call any time I need brakes or parts

by:

The brake shoes worked perfectly on my fifth wheel trailer.

by:

The brake shoes are a great fit and a good replacement for my friends worn out shoes. The only thing I wish is that the shoes were sold by axle not each wheel. It is confusing.

by:

Tthe Brake shoes were an exact fit. the only thing I would recommend is to buy the complete brake set ,way easier. I had all four wheels to do I replaced two complete and two wheels just the shoes for comparison.

by:

I’m very happy with everything I purchased from etrailer. Everything was correct and fit perfectly. I’m very impressed with the service and their professionalism and knowledge of what they sell. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

by:

Service was excellent, fast friendly and helpful. Product arrived sooner than expected and was just what I needed.

by:

Got the shoes quickly and have them on, however three of the retainer springs were too long and had to use old springs. Otherwise happy.

by:

Always great parts that actually fit

This size electric drum brake is suitable for axles rated from 5200-lbs to 7000-lbs and these are what are typically supplied on travel trailers.
