Standard electric brake assemblies require manual adjustment of the brake shoes over time to provide longer-lasting and more efficient braking performance. With self-adjusting brakes, the brake shoes are always properly aligned, so there's no need to manually adjust the brakes after the initial adjustment. As a result, you get optimum performance without having to take the time to continually perform this type of maintenance.
This brake assembly meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA creates standards, which when complied with ensure a safe and quality product. This brake assembly underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. This brake has also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.
Each shoe on this brake assembly is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps to prevent cracking and crumbling. This durability helps to prevent mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is also SAE-N certified, which means that it is an environmentally safe product that complies with California and Washington regulations regarding the composition of brake pads. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking that can endure the test of time, but it is also environmentally friendly and safe for use throughout the United States and Canada.

My last order was for my fifth wheel camper. When I called I was unsure of the part numbers. However you guys had enough information and told me what i needed and it was correct. Everything came in on time with no issues. I believe this is the second or third time I’ve used you guys and it’s always been the same. Great product great people to talk to which is sometimes hard to get.

They were packed in paper in a big box. Packaging was very poor! The UPS guy dropped the box hard on the front porch and damaged one or 2 of the brake assemblies. I will have to determine which are good and which are damaged...
I'm probably not the best mechanic that there is but these brake assemblies were very easy to install,it probably took me about an hour per wheel to install,great service from a person named Michelle that helped me to get them shipped quickly,thanks, I would definitely recommend this company for all of your trailer parts....

So far,so good. The complete units were easy to install, although some of the brake assembly units were out of place and had to be reset from shipping and ruff handling. Here are some pictures of the 44 ft pace rig. We have already recommend you to many of our peers. We travel to about 20 events per year and in all kind of traffic conditions, we will let you know how they slow down the unit.

Although trailer is not on the road yet the brakes are a exact match and mounted perfectly.
Product arrived quickly, easy to install. I put them on all 4 wheels of our 5 wheel camper. It was cheaper and easier to do it this way than to replace shoes and magnets.

Our Flat bed trailer can do some pretty heavy work however we do not use this trailer all the time.
When the brakes failed we ordered from etrailer and the parts came in and we installed them without much ado.
Thank you for having all the parts we needed. After a year of seldom but heavy usage the self adjusting brakes are still working splendidly.
Product is great and easy to set up however the packaging from which it was sent as was a little less desirable from my seals getting dented and brake assemblies where thrown around in box with tears in box but all should be usable

I purchased the brake assemblies last spring but did not get around to installing on our 5th wheel trailer this past fall. Packaging was sufficient & all parts were there & in place on the backing plates.The install went well, brakes are working good.I looked up online a brake in procedure for the shoe assemblies & followed it which helped out after the install.Overall I'm pleased with the price of the product,the service from etrailer aswell.

Brake assemblies working great,I like dealing with etrailer.Also good information from reps.
Brakes work great, shipping was fast, customer service when placing order was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The brakes on my 2002 Komfort 24-TS trailer were completely shot. I needed to replace the drums (cheaper than having them turned). I also needed to replace the electric brake assemblies and to upgrade them from manual to automatic adjusting. I called etrailer.com a couple of times to make sure I was ordering the rights parts and the phone reps were very helpful and courteous. The parts arrived on time and in good shape. I had everything I needed to complete the job. It took me all day to do all 4 wheels but I saved myself a whopping $1,000 over having the shop do the job.

I don't usually do product reviews but wanted to post this one. This was my first purchase from etrailer. I purchased all four brake assemblies for our 5th wheel which I felt was the easiest and best way to go and had my drums machined. It was a very easy transaction, the parts came quickly and fit as they should. Very pleased with the product although I have not put the trailer on the road yet.
BUT- The packaging was very poor. The assemblies were in a carton twice as big as it needed to be without adequate packing and the items rattled around to the point that two shoes were knocked out of place on the backing plates. I was able to correct it and no damage done, this time. Please improve your packaging.
I would definitely buy from etrailer again.

2 out of 4 were perfect the other 2 had issue's being I used to work on brakes i took care of it my self including the nicked wire
Bought this backing plate to replace grease soaked brakes on Lippert 2016 7000 lb. axle. Since no one sells just the brake linings, I had to buy the whole assembly. Exact match of the Lippert backing plate. Very easy to replace.

After about 7000 miles still working good
Easy to install.
When seals fail they send grease all over the brake asy.
This was easy fix

They work like advertised and are of good quality, I haven't had them long enough to to know about the self adjusting feature but it looks just like all the rest so I don't know why it wouldn't work. Thanks for getting them to me so quickly.
They fit just like original equipment. Could not imagine doing brakes on a trailer a different way. I don't know how they can sell these brake kits this Cheap !!!!!
