I changed out my electric drum brakes on my Montana fifth wheel with this hydraulic brake actuator and Kodiak discs rotor system . What a difference this new brake system has made. I can now lock down the trailer tires if needed and drive much more relaxed on the highway knowing I can stop on a dime.

  • Replacement Bearings Kits and Brake Assemblies for 2005 Pilgrim 190RB Travel Trailer
I'm unable to look up exactly which hubs your 2005 Pilgrim 190RB was equipped with, as the RV manufacturers don't have an online database with that information like passenger vehicle manufacturers do. This being said, I found that the dry weight of your travel trailer is 4900 lbs and has tandem axles. Most likely your travel trailer has tandem 3500 lb axles, but you can easily confirm this. Pull one of the hubs, and take a look at the side of the bearing cages from the inner and outer...

  • Which Disc Brake Kits Are Compatible With Timbren 5200lb and 7000lb Axle-Less Systems?
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/ Brake Flange - 5,200 lbs # TASR5200S03 you mentioned are indeed compatible with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Hub/Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet/KodaGuard - 5,200 to 6,000 lbs # K2HR526DKG you mentioned. You will need two of the bearing kits # DBRKHW6EZ as the brake kit does not include bearings, grease seals, or grease caps. The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange - Regular Tires -...

  • Disc Brake Conversion Kit for 2019 Keystone Raptor 351
The Dacromet Kodiak Disc Brake kit part # K2HR712D that you referenced is the place to start for your 7k Dexter axles. Dacromet resists rust much better than E-Coat so this would be the preferred route. Since this does not come with bearings, seals or caps you'd also need the # DBRKHW7 to provide all of that. The best EOH actuators are the Hydrastar actuators like what comes with the kit # HBA16-252-82. These react the quickest and provide the most reliability. This kit also comes with...

  • Converting Hydraulic Drum Brakes to Disc Brakes.
We definitely have options to convert hydraulic drum brakes to hydraulic disc brakes. The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712D is designed to work with a 7,000 pound axle that has wheels that use an 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern and the inner bearing # 25580 and outer bearing # 14125A. You would want to match these to your existing bearing to verify the fit. I have an article included that helps with converting hydraulic drum brakes over to disc brakes that should make this easier. You can also...

  • Converting to Disc Brakes For Trailer With Bearings 14125A & 25580 w/ 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern
Thanks so much for that info, and the 1.75" measurement you got for the inner bearing means that is a 25580 bearing; along with the outer bearing 14125A and the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, we can get you the correct disc brake hub and rotor to replace your drum brakes; what you will need is the following: - Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Raw Finish - 7,000 lbs # K2HR712 - Bearing Kit for Trailer Brakes with 13" Hub/Rotor and 1/2" Bolts - 7,000 lbs # DBRKHW7 The #...

  • Converting to Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes From Electric Brakes on Trailer With 7K Axles
There are a number of parts you will need to replace the electric drum brakes on your trailer, and though there is not an all-in-one kit I can let you know the parts you need, starting with a disc brake assembly to replace your current hub and drum. I contacted Lippert with the serial number from you axle and based off what they told me the the correct brake kit is the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712D which is for 7,000 lb axles and has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern for your wheels. These...

  • Recommended Disc Brake Kit to Replace Electric Brakes on Fifth Wheel Camper
We have a few different kits that will work great for your trailer. The most basic kit that we have is # K2HR712. This kit is just going to be raw metal, so it has no protection against rust or corrosion. I recommend the next step up and go with # K2HR712E. This kit has an e-coating on it so that it is protected from rust or corrosion. We do not have a kit that contains all of the components for a disc brake set up. This allows people to customize their brake kit to match their trailer. The...

  • Compatibility of Hub/Rotor, U-Bolts, Hangers, and Bearings for 6k Trailer Axle
The trailer axle components between a 5.2k and 7k trailer axle are essentially all the same so what you are wanting to do overall will work. The axle # e23GR is 3 inch in diameter so the shock kit part # RM-2460 will fit it. The hanger kit part # APS4 though is a single axle hanger kit and since the shock kit is for a tandem setup it's worth mentioning that and offering the tandem axle setup # H248. The U-bolt kit part # CE23003 does fit the axle diameter, as well as the spring seat part...

  • Recommended Parts To Convert Wildcat RV Trailer With Tandem 5200lb Axles To Disc Brakes
We do have a kit that may work on your 5200lb Dexter axles, but since there are a few different bearing combinations for 5200lb axles you will want to confirm which bearings your spindle uses by removing one of your current hubs and checking the bearing number stamped on the face of the bearings as you can see in the included picture of the # L44649. The only option with the 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern you need is the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712E which uses inner bearing # 25580, and...

  • Switching from Electric Drum Brakes to Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes on Trailer w/7K Lippert Axles
I did some checking and your 7K Lippert axles use inner bearing 25580 and outer bearing 14125. We have 7K brake kit options that use these same bearings and have the same 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern as your existing hubs. The most basic kit is # K2HR712. The parts have a raw finish which means no corrosion resistance. The next step up from there is # K2HR712E which has an e-coat finish which is like a powder coat and offers minimal corrosion resistance. What I recommend is the next step up...
