Speaker 2: Today we're going to be taking a look at the drop leg for the etrailer and ram jacks. This measures 13 1/4 inches tall and has a five diameter foot plate with a zinc finish. The part number is JF-1005H-Z. Now here's what our drop leg looks like installed. This gives us a total of eight additional inches that we can add to the end of our inter-tube of the jack here, just so we don't have crank so long to get the jack fully extended. This is going to give us five locations to choose from for a total of eight inches of adjustment here.
The biggest benefit you're going to see about a drop leg like this is one, the time savings, but also we don't have to worry about the narrow lift of our jack digging down into the mud or the sand or the gravel, whatever it might be. This gives us a full five inch circle that's going to come down and make contact with that material. Again, dirt, sand, gravel and it spreads that energy out over a greater area so we don't have to worry about our jack being sunk down in or actually dropping down below our ball mount when it sits there for an extended period of time. We will just use a jack stand to simulate attaching our trailer to our vehicle. This is where the big benefits are coming in. Rather than us having to fully retract our jack the whole way up, we can stop at that point once we have the weight off the plate.
We'll just pull our pin out and then lift our drop leg up into position. Once we have it lined up with that highest setting, you'll see that it's going to be nice and high. It doesn't add that much to the end of the jack leg there, so we won't have to wor4ry about hitting it or bumping it or anything like that. Next time we're ready to unhook our trailer, simply pull our pin, extend that back down, we've got a lot less work ahead of us to get that coupler off of our ball. We've also got a couple of small holes here so if any mud we're to happen to get up on the foot plate, sand, or water, it can just run out of those so it won't build up there causing corrosion down the road. To install our foot plate, we basically just need to line up the groove that is in the back side of it here with that same groove that's on the inner tube of our jack and then we'll align one of the holes here. Now these holes are on two inch centers and you'll just take the provided pin and clip, it's going to slide through our hole and we'll secure it there on the other side.
Then it's just a matter of operating our jack. That's going to complete our look at the Drop Leg for the etrailer and ram jacks, part number is JF-1005H-Z.

Drop leg adds 8" of additional lift for your etrailer or Ram A-frame jack with a 2" diameter inner tube. Extension can be adjusted in 2" increments. Corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated finish. Pin and clip included.Absolutely fantastic. My old jack was getting harder and harder to use. I am thrilled with both the ease of installation and how well the jack operates. It is very smooth and takes very little effort to crank. I definitely recommend.
The jack foot helps with sliding the detached trailer on the ground.
I love this option. Works great. Just dislike the bullydog jack it came with. With this option there is no need carry a big block of wood to take up space.
Works perfectly. It is easy to adjust to the desired height, and you can turn the crank without much effort.
Using the "Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack - Sidewind - 13" Lift - 3,000 lbs" in combination wth the
"Drop Leg for etrailer & Ram Jacks - 13-1/4" Tall - 5-1/4" Diameter Footplate" allows me to run this jack, without the drop leg attached, flush with my trailer frame for better off road clearance, and with the drop leg while taking the trailer off the vehicle, minimizes turning of the jack.
The drop leg works great on my trailer. I don't need to pack the cement block around with the trailer now. Works great!!!

The down leg has been one of my better investments. I will buy one for my next trailer jack.
Another successful order and install from etrailer.com! Always fast shipping and excellent installation guide videos!
After dealing with negative local parts dealers I tried etrailer.com , they went above and beyond. The adjustable jack drop leg works excellent. No more carrying big, heavy, ugly blocks. Also the customer service was AWESOME!!! Thank you Donna P.
Works well with trailer jack. Provides flat, stable surface. Prevents having to lower jack significantly on sloped sites.

After 1 year the jack is still working well. Definitely a beneficial purchase.
It fit easily on jack leg and does what it should.
Just received today and will put on my unit this weekend. Initial look appears to be fine.
This worked perfect on my manual crank tongue jack on my camper. I'm not sure then brand of the tonque jack, but it's a 2 1/4" od upper tube and a 2" of lower tube. This fit inside the lower tube.
This jack drop leg is just what I needed to make it that I did not have to carry around a block of wood anymore. Slides right up and in the jacket so making it one less thing to me carrying in the camper.
Bought this drop foot with a new Ram A-Frame jack. First impressions are that it’s very well made and it fits the jack perfectly. This will definitely save me some time wrestling with wood blocks.
Works great on my trailer, with the multiple hole locations I can always be sure I have the right height.
Ordered the drop leg to replace the sketchy wheeled drop leg that came with my Jayco 145rb travel trailer. Fit perfectly and provides me with confidence that the trailer has a stable base. The price was less than half of what the dealer charged for a similar product. Thanks to eTrailer.com.
Does the job. Good for the price. No quality issues . I would require it to be thicker walled material and have a pivoting foot for sloped surfaces to get 5 stars.
This adjustable trailer jack solved the problem we had where the original jack rode too low and was scraping. This one has the exterior tube mounted with more clearance and the adjustable height foot saves a lot of effort when jacking.
Great upgrade to our trailer!!

Product is still working great with no problems. Perfect solution for a low-riding trailer hitch where the foot can scrape.
Glad etrailer put dimension on their product page, perfect fit.
Did the job. No complaints.
Fit my Ram jack and works perfectly.
I have a crank jack on our Jayco camper. It had a wheel on the bottom, instead of a foot. I used a doughnut chock, but it was still dangerous as heck if the site was slightly unlevel. I put a foot on it. That was much better, and I didn't have to take it off to tow. It did mean cranking more unless I had several blocks under it. And then, I found this drop leg. I don't even want an electric jack anymore.
Bought this for my small camper because I was tired of winding the jack up and down so far. Seems like a nice product so far. Fits in the Ram Jack I have easily. The bottom plate edge is a little rough and could use smoothing down but does not bother me.
Want to add, I received the product in the mail and tried on my camper but the last few holes would not let the pin go though. Contacted etrailer rep by email the next day and in no time I was contacted back. Was asked to take a few pictures of the issue and I emailed them back to George. Before I knew it I had a new email stating my new product was on its way. Within days I got the new drop leg and all fit perfect. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 star, but thanks to etrailer they helped me fix the issue with ease. So for them I would give 5 star.

Still working fine. Is there a jack with better lifting power? The Bullydog is lacking in power to lift my trailer, it takes a lot of effort. It is rough when turning the handle.
