Today we're going to be taking a look at a replacement snapper pin for jack foot plates, casters, and couplers. This is going to replace the snapper pin for etrailer and ram jack foot plates, casters, and couplers, and it can be used for other applications as well. Taking a look at a few measurements, the diameter of the actual pin, that's going to give us a diameter of right at 3/8", the length of the pin from the bottom of the head to the end portion right here, that's going to give us a measurement of 2-3/4" long. Then the distance that we have from the top of the pin to the bottom of the clasp right there, basically measuring the opening right here, that's going to give us a measurement of 1-9/16". That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement snapper pin for jack foot plates, casters, and couplers.

I used these snap pins to secure wheels to Franklin Scaffolding square post legs. The pin length and diameter were fine. The pin spring could have been a bit shorter which would have made for a snugger fit.
This is just what I needed for my jack foot so I can switch it out to the wheel as needed. It works easily and should be plenty secure.
