We're looking at this bracket for your cargo carriers. And it's gonna allow you to put some taillights on your cargo carrier. Typically, when we start stacking stuff pretty high it starts to block our taillights. So with this bracket, it's gonna solve that problem. The bracket has a nice clean look to it. It matches the finish of the etrailer cargo carrier.
It's gonna be made of steel and it's gonna fit around the top tube. And then bolt through the bottom little grate. Everything comes with the kit, which is nice. And it's definitely so much better than the other options I have. I don't like this, cuz it looks bad, it's incandescent and I'm just looking for a clean look.
And with this, I'm adding even more length onto the carrier. So that's something I try to avoid especially with accessories. So the bracket gives you a nice clean look and it looks like it's supposed to be there. We have a couple different options when it comes to lights. Here are a few.
One, we have an LED one here. It's more flush cuz it doesn't have a curve to it. And the incandescent version has a little curve to it as well, but they are all gonna fit and there are more options on our website. Pretty much what makes it fit is the shape and this little rubber grommet. Give you an idea how big this bracket is, it's about eight inches long.
And then from the very top to the very bottom is about five and a half inches. Our tubing's gonna be seven eights by seven eights. So that's what this fits around. And then on the bottom it sticks in quite a bit. So it goes all the way to the little grates right here so we can get our bolts through. And from the edge of our bracket to the other edge right here, it's about two inches. There's not a whole lot to this product. It's a very simple product that doesn't take a whole lot of time to install just to solve your problem. And I think that's a win-win. So if you're interested, you can stick around. We're gonna show you how we installed it. To get the bracket installed, I wanna install it on the farthest most point right here. So what we gotta do just put it like this, drop it down and sits into place. I like to even it out. So give a tape measure, just eye it out. We're gonna have some hardware with the kit. We're gonna go with the bolt with a washer on it and we're gonna put it down trough this hole just like that. On the other side, we're gonna take another washer and now we're gonna lock that and I'm gonna get these just hand tight for now and install the other two. Now we're gonna center it up and then take a half inch wrench and socket to tighten it up all the way. Once that side's done it's gonna be the same exact process on the other side. Now that the brackets are nice and mounted up we're ready for some lights. It's just a simple product that just solves a lot of problems for a lot of people. So I think it's gonna be very useful for you. If you have a cargo carrier like this one go ahead and grab the bracket and the light kit. And if you're picking between the two lights that are gonna work with the bracket I would go with the LEDs just because it's LEDs. And that's pretty much it for our look at the etrailer light bracket for your cargo carrier. And I'm Adam with etrailer..

Mounting brackets allow you to add tail lights (sold separately) to your etrailer or Curt hitch-mounted cargo carrier. Designed to work with models e98874, C18153, and C18152.Brackets were easy to install. The tolerance in the bracket opening and light kits was too loose causing lights to pop out. I had to use zip ties to secure the lights
Purchased these in addition to led lights for my etrailer cargo carrier. Fast installation, led lights fit securely. In a review I read someone mentioned them as being loose. Initially mine also seemed loose, on closer examination I discovered that the the problem was that I failed to properly seat the rubber grommets supplied. After correcting my mid take it takes a lot of effort to remove lights. Absolutely no way for them to become dislodged from road vibration. I turn to etrailer for all towing and illumination needs.
Easy to use and install! Highly recommend to make the lights look more finished compared to zip tying lights to the trailer.
