eTrailer site was easy to use and very infomative ont he product line I was looking for. Calle din for assitance and they were very professional.
Installed on a 2023 GMC 3500 Denali CCLB. Not much experience but I an a little handy. Pre-installation - watched the etrailer video. While installing I watched the video again step by step. Make sure you watch the video into the next step of install before proceeding w/the previous step. It will make your install more clean. Product works great.., phone app & remote paired & connected perfectly. Thanks for the install video & very satisfied with the product. All wiring, tubing & misc. parts were included.
These set up is much better than the 72000 I had before. The wireless controller fits my hand much easier.
The only regret I have is I didn’t buy the 7500 with this set up.
I’ve used airlift since 2003. If it wasn’t the best for me I wouldn’t have kept using it.
If you decide to get the best airlift buy it from trailer they have the best inventory and prices.
Great customer service. The lift kit really helps with the bumpy roads as I pull a large 5th wheel.
I purchased the Airlift Wireless AIR compressor system at the same time as the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Air Springs w/ Internal Bumpers. This system was installed on my 2017 Ram 2500. It has been one year since I purchased and installed the whole system. I wanted this system because I tow a fifth wheel on very long trips and wanted something to control the rear end of my tow vehicle as far as sway and spring sag and also to have the truck ride level wage loaded sap as to keep the headlight’s always adjusted properly. The wireless air works through an app on my iPhone and works seamlessly to keep the set amount of air always adjusted. It’s very easy to increase or decrease pressure on the fly. The presets are great when you hook up or unhook just select your preset and you are good. Having the wireless compressor is expensive but extremely convenient. No hooking up an external compressor or running around without a trailer and having your airbags riding sky high. We did a little over 10k miles so far on the system and it has worked without a single issue. I have recommended this system to friends who camp with us.
Installation was nice, Not having to cut in to the cab with wiring and air tubing ! I use a over head camper towing a Jeep or a car trailer depending were wear going, Its Nice having three pressure presets programmed in.
All looks reasonably well. Biggest concern is the wiring harness. Why is there 2 different gauge wire on the leads going the battery? Looks like 12 gauge on the connector end that is about 8 feet long, spliced and reduced to a smaller gauge extending about another 8 feet. Why isn't the wire all the same gauge?
Just installed yesterday after watching YouTube videos. I didn’t hook the extra wire up to a fuse because I want to use it when the engine is off. The remote and app work great. I installed the compressor under the front passenger door area and had barely enough air bag tube to reach both airbags and maybe 6 feet of wire harness stuff left so if I had to do it again I’d move the compressor to the rear passenger door area to give me more air bag tubing to work with. I have a 2023 Chevy 2500 short bed. Instead of Ting into the manual fill tubing I just pulled that out of the air bag and ran tubing directly to the compressor. I figure the more connections there are the more likely it is there will be leaks. If I need to I can just switch out the tubes if the compressor goes out and manually fill the bags
easy to install. Push a button, and raise airbag pressure, push another button let out pressure, pretty much wish i had spent the money on this system for my previous truck. I may fabricate a little metal shield to go over the compressor and solenoid/bluetooth package to keep mud and salt off them. I installed compressor behind storage bump out thing to block spray from from tires. I still have to install compressor air intake filter, i am going to install it inside that little storage compartement so compressor always gets fairly fresh cab air.
I like the system but the manifold didn't even make it a year so now I'm concerned about how long the new manifold will last and if they will warranty it again if it fails.Although they were great this time.I do love dealing with etrailer all I had to do was call them and they were able to give me a copy of my receipt.
Ez to install when you watch your video all though, I couldn’t get wire tap to work on 2018 Chevy Silverado
System works great. I like the auto fill and lower the bags when I’m running down the road with my fifth wheel.
aircompressor working great no problems
Rather easy to install. By laying out the parts and assemble majority of items.i raised the body a little which gives a person more to make adjustments. I put the compressor under the rear seat and run both lines back to rear excel than line over the rear end for the right side.had no air leaks.
Wouldn’t have bought airbags without this. I can control it via my phone.
This is probably the best airbag system I have ever used! Trailer has great pricing and fast shipping. Installation and functionality were perfect.
Easy install and works fantastic! Very user friendly setup
Works well most of the time but sometimes just locks up and needs to have the fuse pulled to reset. It’s still better than manually filling and checking the pressure thought.
The L shaped bracket under the air bag bent and cut my wheel speed sensor wire.
The only reason not 5 star is that they should have a much better warranty at the price they charge. works great. this is my 3rd truck I have put one on.
2020 GMC 2500. Did LoadLifter 5000 and EZ compressor set up.
The exhaust runs down the passenger side and the fuse box with switched power signal is on the driver side so for multiple reasons I wanted to mount the compressor on the driver side. I couldn’t do inside the rail as I would have preferred given all the DEF and fuel tanks. Above the frame rail running down most of the truck are 2 solid brake lines that would interfere with the U bolt to mount the EZ compressor assembly vertically as I originally intended. I did find a space I could fit it in without interference with those lines but it hung low and was more visible and exposed that I preferred. I did find though 2 existing holes in the frame that the U bolt fit in perfectly for a horizontal mount without interference and much higher and better tucked up under the truck for a super clean mount. The U bolt threads didn’t run deep enough for a single frame wall mount so for $3, I bought steel spacers and after painting them inside and out for corrosion resistance, I mounted very easily for a “customized” no drill $3 option. There is also a large wire harness that runs from that spot all the way to the battery so it was easy to run my wires along side and attach to that all the way up. Very happy with that location as air lines were easy to run and plenty long from there as well and put in 2 service loops just in case.
I ended up running the pink wire to the fuse box and bought some fuse splicer wires Iike in the etrailer video. Hesitated to trim the fuse box on my brand new truck so the lid would close and like to keep mods as unnoticeable as possible so wanted to see how well it performed just based on motion and waking with the remote or app. I’ll wire it later if needed but just left it tucked for now.
I also picked up some Daystar airbag cradles and mounted those to bottom bracket using the existing center hole in the bracket. Just picked up longer SS countersink bolts and hex nuts. No drill but I did have to trim the bolts off for a perfect length. Now the stretch of the airbag doesn’t limit suspension travel down and I don’t have to worry about bag damage when on a service lift down the road. Obviously when under its own weight or loaded the bags fit snugly and are well supported by the cradles. Outside of the time to buy the additional hardware that took zero additional time and is much preferred as now I can take it to the shop without worry. The only draw back is they are 6” cradles and I would have preferred the 7500# air bags for extra duty but they are 7”. I run the same setup on my 2002 Excursion and knew for sure I wanted the cradles so stayed with 5000# bags. I’m not loading a skid steer in the bed so really that should be plenty.
Love the AirLift system and have ran them for years. Glad to have them installed on my new truck and look forward to the next load.
Put pics of bags with suspension full droop, and then under normal weight. Also pics of the mounting location and final mounted compressor set up and look from side of truck.
Would recommend this set up for anyone who uses their truck like a truck and would recommend these minor mods on the install.
After a year the unit has worked as advertised I've not had a issue with it. I did have to take the compressor out of the mounting kit to install it on the 2019 F-350 I couldn't find a place to mount the EZ mount. other that that I've been very happy with it. I did mount the compressor with a vibration dampener works well I don't hear any vibration in the cab of the truck also I made a stand off for the controller so I would not have to move a brake line.
Pulling a fifth wheel RV trailer, and a gooseneck trailer on the farm, the airlift bags, along with the onboard compressor has made pulling either trailer safer due to the leveling ability this kit allows.
Customer service from etrailer was great with making sure I received the exact kit for my truck.
Five stars for sure!
