Features:
The drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style series base plate kit are supremely easy to mount and remove. Just insert them into the brackets and twist to lock them in place. To remove, simply twist the arms back and pull them out. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs, as well.

Very happy with the base plate- as well as the amazing installation job done by etrailer. Has been a job to own and use allowing simple efficient towing of my car behind my motorhome. If I had any complaint it would be to ask Roadmaster to do a better job on the paint. the darn thing rusts so fast, it's hard to keep up with. But, still a five star product

The base adapter for my Chevrolet Spark, that I ordered, arrived in less than a week. The instructions were very helpful. Proceeding carefully it took about four and a half hours to complete the installation and it fit perfectly. The adapter appears very well made and is by far the most robust part of the whole vehicle.

Had Base Plate installed today, shop gave me 2.5 hr labor time. I returned just under 2hrs and they were backing my car out the shop. They parked it facing me. I told the Mechanic "That was quick" He said that's because it wouldn't fit. I was disappointed and asked what do I owe you for your labor> He laughed out loud and said it on there, but hard to see. I was so surprised and pleased you have to just about get down on your knees and bend down to see it. took me about 8 min to install everything and connect it to the Tow vehicle. I'm very pleased with it.

This tow bracket base was a little tough for an old senior but very straight forward install. Everything went as the instructions said. The product is very well built and looks good where it comes through the front bumper cover. As usual the customer service and fast shipping from etrailer is exceptional.
I have had many purchases here and it's always great. I give etrailer itself 5 stars as well as the products.

This was my 4th install for a dingy (with 4 wheel flat towing) in the last 20 years. This install is for a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Overland. The New ROADmaster 90* twist & lock removable base plates are REALY Awesome! So much much easier & faster than installing & removing locking pins! One picture shows a Brush guard from ROADmaster no longer available.

The Jeep project went very well everything fit great and worked well. I really love Roadmaster products and quality and your company is the best place to purchase them. I sold the Jeep and replaced it with a new 2019 Chevy Equinox 2.0 L AWD and just purchased and installed the following items from you and installed them, RM-156-25 & RM-156-75 Battery Charge Line Kit, RM-146-7 Flex Coil Kit, RM-523193-4 EZ4 Plate Kit, RM-88333 Custom Seat Adapter, RM-751489 Stop Light Switch Kit and a RM-98160 Second Vehicle Brake Kit w/brakeaway. All these parts were in stock and arrived quickly and normal with you people, I really enjoy the o-line vidios as I do all my own installs. Thank you so much for your great service.
I will attach pictures of my install, you will see how I was able to fab a bracket and attach it to the existing mount on the base plate to mount the brakeaway switch and the air connection for the brake system.
I also fabricated a tail light bar as I didn't want to use mag-lights or splice into the factory lights and bulbs installed into the lights would not work as the factory brake lights will come on when the brake system is applyed and the turn siginals would not be visable.
Thanks for all you do, I would and do recommend you people to everyone who needs your products. Rob

Great product for my 2014 Wrangler. Good materials, solid attachment to vehicle, and looks good. The e trailer installation video was great for assisting installation. Made the install much quicker and easier. The most difficult procedure for me was disconnecting the wiring harness on the back of the bumper. An old tack puller (or tool of similar design) would have been great for leveraging the pins out of their holes. Cutting the air dam was a slow process to ensure I didn't cut too much. A paper template to mark where to cut the air dam would make this process much simpler. Again, I can't emphasize enough how great the installation video was for making the steps easier.

Delivery was great right part but this is the 6th baseplate I’ve installed and the instructions could be better. The pics could be better showing some bolt locations nothing is written about cutting inner fender but then look at pics showing they cut them the inner fender biggest problem.

Followed directions and completed job in a little over 4 hours. had trouble reinserting some pins in difficult locations.
Later in the month I installed the wiring tow package. Goofed up and crossed a wire and it took me two days to get back under the truck and rewire. all is working great according to directions...…….
I will use etrailer again, good service, great service representatives...……..jt

Great product and thanks to etrailer.com for the excellent videos detailing how to install the Demco Stay-In-Play Duo braking system. As a result of watching all of the available videos, I learned that there where a couple of different ways to install the system in our Jeep Wranglers. The first installation I did was in our 2019 Wrangler and that was super easy following the one video on your website. The second installation of the system was not as easy because our 2021 Wrangler has a manual transmission and required having to drill a hole in the firewall/floor board to run the wiring and vacuum tube from the passenger compartment to the engine area. If etrailer.com ever has an installation on a Jeep Wrangler with a manual transmission to perform, hopefully they will video tape that installation to guide customers with Jeeps with manual transmissions. I think etrailer.com's idea of mounting the control box on the fuse box is by far the cleanest and easiest way to install the Demco braking system.
I also followed etrailer.com's videos for installing the brake light system and the base plate on both our Wranglers and could not be happier with them. Thanks etrailer for all you offer.

I purchased this EZ4 base plate to work in conjunction with the Falcon2 tow bar. It fit perfectly on my Wrangler Unlimited, and is tucked mostly out of site when not used. The two baseplate arms bolted to the cross bar of the Falcon2 are easily removed and stored away when not in use. Installation because of the weight and tight fit to the Wrangler frame, was found to be much easier with two people.

The Roadmaster base plate kit is well made and fit the Jeep JK very well. The assembly instructions were detailed and accurate with the exception of how to cut the plastic splash/rock guard under the bumper. I questioned the dimensions provided and checked prior to cutting. I was able remove less material resulting in a better fit.
The threaded plates with wire attached are not long enough to prevent spinning when torqueing the bolts attaching the bracket to the vehicle frame. I was able to use a 7/8 open end wrench to hold the plates while torqueing the bolts. A little frustrating but as there isn't much room to access the upper plate. Roadmaster should consider manufacturing those plates longer to prevent spinning.
The customer service from Etrailer was excellent. Tammie expedited my order and provided notification when shipped and delivered. Tammie is a 5 star representative and I appreciate her attention to my order.
I recommend Roadmaster products and Etrailer.

Very Happy! The shipping was fast; 3 days, including Thanks Giving. I was able to instal the base plat myself, just following the installation video on their web site. I watched it a couple of times while I was waiting for delivery, and then followed it step by step during installation. I wouldn't have dared attempt it myself without the video. I also installed the Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs-RM-155 using the same method. Everything went without a problem. I will be buying from eTrailer again.

Installed it myself on a 2017 Ford Focus. Watched a few videos on how to pull front bumper and install mount. The hardest part was making the holes in the steel front bumper. I like the fact I can remove the outside mounts that the hitch mounts to. I’ve pulled the car about 5,000 miles behind the rv with no problems.

Anna at etrailer was most helpful getting me the correct baseplate for a Roadmaster Tow Bar I had purchased used. Very knowledgeable in the product line and recommending what parts I would need to complete my towing installation.
The Roadmaster product was a perfect fit, had all the neccessary hardware parts and did not require any modifications to install it. etrailer also made several onlinr videos further showing how to install the products they sell you. The finished installation is almost invisible leaving the car looking stock until the connectors are twisted in and the cross bar installed.

The Base Plates are performing as expected, unfortunately chipping paint has plagued these Base Plates. This chipping paint has occurred along both of the leading edge of where the tow bar mounts. This has not been caused from abuse/misuse, it started happening soon after began using. Should not have happened so soon.
