Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the Snap Top Battery Box with Strap. Now this battery box is going to protect your group 27 automotive marine or RV batteries against impact, contaminants, and leaked battery acids. So this is going to be a great option to install on your boat, camper, motor home, trailer or generator. This box is made here in the USA of rugged molded plastic that's gonna be resistant to impact, UV rays, oil, gas, and battery acid. It's gonna maintain its impact resistance in extreme conditions all the way down to negative 27 degrees Fahrenheit.

So as I mentioned, this strap is included and the ventilated lid is going to secure to the box. And as you can see, it has these two fasteners here on the lid. Then that strap will hold it securely in place. The length of the strap is about 46-1/2" long. And this box has multiple exit points to allow dangerous acid vapor to be released, as you can see here on the inside of the lid, maybe you can see it, you can puncture through these holes for additional venting.

And then let me see if I can show you the inside here. Hopefully you can see that inside there are acid resistant, it is an acid resistant reservoir that's going to safely capture spilled battery acid inside the box, you can see those recessed areas there in the corners that are going to catch that battery acid that act as that reservoir. And so you can mount this a few different ways using the included screws. You could directly mount this into place, running the screws through those holes that you see there in the corners. Hopefully you can see those holes there.

So you can directly just mount this into place with those screws. Or you can use this panel here. You can just screw that panel into place, run that strap through and then this is just going to sit on there on that panel, close the lid and then you'll just tighten the strap. So this does include a small instruction sheet that can walk you through those installation options, again, with the included hardware. Now this box does have built-in handles on either side that's gonna give you a secure grip while carrying this battery.

And let's go over some measurements just so you can be confident this is going to work for you. Let's begin with the external dimensions with the lid on here. So the overall length from end to end, at the longest point, we're sitting at about 16-3/8" long. The overall width at the widest points about 10 inches wide. And then the overall height from top to bottom is gonna be about 11 inches tall. And then the lid itself, the height of the lid is about 2-7/8" tall. And then the base, it's going to be obviously a little bit narrower or tapered down the lower you go. So the base is going to be about 14-7/8" long. The width about 7-1/2" wide. And then the height without the lid about 9" tall. And then in regards to the internal dimensions, again, beginning with the length, about 13-1/4" long, 7" wide. And then the internal height, about 8-5/8" tall. So this is going to be very easy to use. Once you get your battery in place, you can close that lid and then just secure the strap around it. Again, this is a very durable box. The strap is going to be very easy to use and just run it through the buckle and then tighten it down. And that's gonna keep that lid in place. This is going to meet the federal USCG 183.420 and ABYCE-1.7 requirements for marine use. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today.
