What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com Today we're going to be checking out the Rocky Mountains dial up. This is going to be a programmable padlock. You can use it to in combination with a cable lock like we have here, just to lock your stuff up at the camp site. It's really versatile. It's gonna help you lock up your gears in the bike and restroom.
We've got the hardened steel shackle up here at the top and then, a plastic coated, hardened steel here at the bottom. The numbers are really easy to turn. You don't have to struggle with it. It move nice and smooth. And then to unlock it, you just pull this here on the outside.
Let me get it in the unlock unlock position. You see how I can line that those up with this dot here That's going to let you know just which ones are the ones you're choosing out of the numbers. So we'll get back set to default. I can pull on this just a little bit and it unlocks the shackle and you can take it off. Really easy.
I like that. And that button's not hard to pull out on. And it snaps right back into place when you're when you push it in. I'll show you one more time. It's all it takes just to get it unlocked, once you got the combination.
I liked that there's no keys involved. It's just one less thing you have to carry with you cause you don't need it. You can just pull that. And then the numbers, like I said, you can program whatever combination is easiest for you to remember. All right, speaking of programming it, we're going to do it right here for you. It's all set to default on all zeros. So what you want to do is pop out this tab, turned it 90 degrees, and now it's in the program mode. So I'm going to program it to unlock the code we want. So I'm just gonna do 1, 2, 3, 4. There we go. Again, line up with that dot. Then take it, spin it back into place and lock it. And that should be our new code. Let's mix it up. Can't open it now. Then let's go back. There you go. I like the fact that you can reprogram it and change the code as you see fit. But, you want to make sure you remember that code because you're gonna need that to reprogram it. So, I would put it in your phone, write it down somewhere, just so you know that code and that way you can change it if you want to, or just remember that one. Either way, I think it's going to be a great padlock. It's nice that you don't need a key for it. I really liked that part. I don't want to add anything extra on my key ring and I want to be able to use it without having to fumble around for that key. So I can just lock up my gear and go about my day. Well, thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helped..
