Handy cart lets you easily transport your bike rack to and from your vehicle. Locking wheels with foot pedals also allow you to store your rack up off the ground when not in use. Fits racks with 1-1/4" and 2" shanks. So as with another customer I have a Thule T2 Pro XT and the rack will not insert in far enough for the locking pin on the rack to engage. So rather than drill a hole in my new valet I assembled it with the receiver section reversed. Now I can put the rack on and it slides far enough in that locking pin engages. (Check out the photos.) This is the reason for the 4 star review. Other than that it seems to be sturdy and definitely serves the purpose it was designed for.
I wanted to bring to your attention a problem I am having with my recent order for the:Hollywood Racks Rack Valet Rolling Storage Cart for Hitch-Mounted Bike Racks - 100 lbsItem # HRRV-1, which I just received. As you can see from the attached picture, the bike rack doesn't fit into the storage rack because the pin cannot reach the hole where it secures the system. It falls short by about an inch of reaching the hole. The rack I have is the Thule T2 Pro XT, and the picture attached below shows the reason why - namely the housing of the pin comes in the way of moving the rack further to be able to reach to hole. You can see the Hitch Pin Alignment Collar on the floor, but even after removing the latter it didn't fit. I did ask one of your reps whether the Hollywood storage cart would be compatible with the Thule rack which I had & she said it would be fine. I don't know if you have a solution, but if not I guess I'll just have to live with it - albeit a little less securely.

Thank you for the review. If the bike rack is designed for two inch hitches, the bike rack shank will need at least three and seven eighths inches from the center of the hitch pin hole of the bike rack shank to the closest part of a bike rack. If the bike rack is designed for one and a quarter inch hitch receivers, the bike rack shank needs at least two and a half inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the bike rack. That includes any features on the bike rack shank itself that could prevent it from pinning into the receiver. The Autoattach system on the shank of the Thule T2 Pro XT does not allow enough space for the bike rack shank to pin into the receiver.
***Does not fit Thule T2 Pro XT***
I really like this rack. It's exactly what I was looking for with one *critical* exception. The Thule T2 Pro XT rack does not fit properly. The hitch pin does not reach the hole that secures it in place (see picture). I'm disappointed because I purchased the Hollywood Vallet based on an expert recommendation. I called etrailer about this and spoke with James. I'm currently waiting to hear back on a resolution.

Hi Ryan, Thank you for your review! This storage rack is designed for bike racks with at least three and seven eighths inches from the center of the hitch pin hole of the bike rack shank to the closest part of a bike rack, on a 2 inch receiver. For one and a quarter inch hitch receivers, the bike rack shank needs at least two and a half inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the bike rack. Some bike racks have special features on them that can prevent it from pinning into the receiver. The Autoattach system on the shank of the Thule T2 Pro XT does not allow enough space for the bike rack shank to pin into the receiver. For a storage device that works with this bike rack I would recommend the Swagman X Mount Bike Carrier Storage Rack - Wall Mount - 2 inch Racks, part S80940 . This storage mount does not have wheels, but will work with your bike rack.

Good fit and finish, a quality product. It moves my heavy cuat envy II rack around the garage quite easily, and is very handy for mounting and dismounting onto my vehicle. I would buy this product again.

Perfect little scooter for my Kuat bike rack. One year down, still like new.
I waited for the price to drop a bit before purchasing. For the price you pay, you get a decent stand. The casters are small in size, but durable and hold the weight of my rack just fine. Putting the rack together couldn't be easier. Just be sure not to test your strength as you tighten the nuts. The frame of this stand will collapse a bit if you overtighten, the casters especially. I'm not concerned about that though, it went together fine and is level. It rolls over cracks in the garage flooring and over the lip between the driveway and the garage just fine. You will want to get used to locking the casters before attempting to place the rack on the stand. It rolls so easily that putting the rack on the stand is very difficult unless the casters are locked. I debated many different styles of rack mounts but went with this one because it serves as a dolly as well for the rack and I'm able to easily move it around if I decide to reorganize the garage or heaven forbid, sweep the garage floor.
More stable than I had hoped. Quality construction. Easy assembly. Perfect solution for moving a weighty 6-bike rack around the garage.
Pleasantly surprised at the convenience of this device. Assembly was a piece of cake. Works exactly as described and shown, and the slightly oversized receptacles make inserting the bike rack a breeze. Rolling sure beats lugging!
And I cannot say enough nice things about etrailer: ordering and checkout is simple, shipping is extremely prompt, and the emails from the company have a nice, personal, feeling.
Great product, does exactly what I was looking for, no more no less. Only thing I'd like to improve is the location of the hitch pin hole - it is too deep in the 2" hitch receiver to engage with my Thule bike rack. Not a huge problem though, I just don't use it. Other than this minor issue it works exactly as desired
The product it self is great, it fits perfectly with my Thule T2 Pro XT-2... with a little alteration (Just drill another next to the one already drilled as shown on picture)!
Price is on par with my expectations, only the shipping fees in Canada could be revamped, UPS came a day late but acceptable in the circumstances??
3 & 4 bike racks are difficult to store and move when not in use. This rolling valet works perfectly. The wheel locks secure the valet when loading or unloading the rack. The rack balances nicely in the valet and moves effortlessly. Very happy with the product & would certainly buy again.

One year later and the valet is still in use and still quite happy with the purchase. Would certainly buy again.
A big help in storing and transporting to our car!
Prompt shipping, knowledgeable staff, good prices...
Choose the Hollywood HR1450Z-E because I have a 2" hitch and wanted something sturdy for my e-bike. Also purchased the Hollywood rack valet which makes it easier to put on / off the vehicle. Rack seems very well made & secure on my 2011 CX-7.
Great quality, easy assembly, this valet will save precious garage space. Thanks Etrailer for supplying great customer service
This is a must have for those using hitch mounted racks. I bought this for my Thule pro XT with the expander for 4 bikes. Combined it weighs 90 LBs. This rack valet makes it easy to store and move around. Very surprised that Thule doesn't make one!

working absolutely fab-U-lous! no issues with rollers or frame. a real back saver multiple times every year.
This is a must if you have a heavy bike rack (for heavy ebikes!). It takes up a fair amount of space, but honestly it is a life saver. I leave my bike rack on it (folded up) when it is not on my car.
PRETTY LIGHTWEIGHT and flimsy to hold 2 e-bikes. Keeps wanting to flip over. i'm a little disappionted with this product from etrailer.

We certainly do not want it to tip over on you. This storage rack is meant to only hold the rack and not the bikes on the rack. It has a weight capacity of 100 pounds and most of the time the bike rack itself is going to meet that weight. To store the bikes you could use a floor stand like part # S64018. Hollywood Racks does make quality parts and if the storage rack is still falling over when only holding the rack please let me know.
etrailer is aweome. Ordered and sent quickly. Rack is great and fits my needs.
If you have a Hitch Bike Rack, this is a must have. I have the Hollywood Fat Tire Bike Rack and dragging it around the garage can be difficult. Also, this rack Valet allows you to store Bike Rack in vertical position, thus saving space in the garage.
Great Price from eTrailer, fast Delivery and Quality Rack as most Hollywood offerings.
Nifty little product that provides a good storage solution for my Yakima Ridgeway 5. I have just bought the Ridgeway 5 a few weeks ago and I had been storing it in its original packing box on the floor of my garage. This took up quite a bit of floor space and when I need to mount it on my van, it was awkward to get it up off the ground, then release and unfold the hitch mount.
I have no where in my garage to put a hitch mount storage receiver on a stud so this HRRV-1 was my solution. This little storage device is as advertised - heavy duty castors make it easy to roll around to the back of my van and the castor locks are great - solid and effective. The 2 inch receiver on the HRRV-1 works great; slightly oversized to make it easy to push the hitch mount of the my Ridgeway 5 carrier in and pull out.
I used Expedited World Wide shipping via UPS to the Greater Toronto Area and did not dinged with duty or any other extra charges (your mileage may vary). Wish the shipping didn't cost almost as much as the rack, but with no Canadian distributor for this product, etrailer was a good option and online dealer to purchase from instead of less well known 3rd party sellers on other sites.
The Thule T2 Pro XT 2 - 2" is a great bike rack when in use. When it's time to store it it's kind of a beast to move around...awkward and heavy.
Received my Rack Valet yesterday and putting it together was about a 10-minute project, once all the cardboard, poly bags and styrofoam were dealt with. Instructions were clear and almost unneeded since the structure is so simple.
Parts all seem to be of high quality with a good coating of paint on all the struts.
Once together I placed my Thule rack into it with no problems. This will make un-hitching and storing the bike rack a piece of cake.
Easy to assemble. Works great.
I use this dolly to store and move my Inno 4 bike hitch rack and it makes transporting the bike rack from car to garage much easier. Would highly recommend if you are using any kind of hitch rack.
Easy to put together. Makes it easy to roll the bike rack for storage in my garage.

The valet is great if you own an older Thule T2 without the wheels. The valet is sturdy and easily maneuverable with the rack on it. It took a minute to figure out loading and unloading the rack. Because the casters are so small it tends to slide even with them locked. So I just put one foot on the valet to steady it while loading and unloading my rack. Thats my only other criticism other than the aforementioned one in the original review.
