Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Let's Go Aero V-Tree bike storage stand. This is gonna be a free standing solution to store your bikes up to four of them. And it has some caster wheels in the bottom, so if you did need to move it around in your garage, you could. But it's gonna be a really nice solution if you've got more than just a couple bikes and you need a way to keep them stored together in a space-efficient manner. Let's check them out.
With this you've got a 60 pound weight capacity on the bottom and a 40 pound weight capacity on the top. And the big benefit here is that we can stack them so we're not taking up as much floor space as four bikes would because two are sitting directly above the others. And then same for say if we had wall-mounted bikes. They're gonna condense a little bit more. And in general, not stick out as much as a wall-mounted bike rack would.
While yes, this is mobile, it's not gonna be perfect. So this upright mast has a lot of sway to it when you've got it fully loaded with bikes. So as you're moving it around, you have to hold it pretty carefully. Even though it is steel construction, it's just a lot of weight that's sticking up pretty tall. The other thing is that the casters on the bottom here aren't the greatest.
They're just plastic. And a lot of times they end up binding up as I'm trying to move this around, and they'll end up just dragging. And you have to give them a little bit of a kick just to get them to go in the direction you want them to. And even then, it's not perfect. If you can get this to line up in all four wheels and move in the direction you want to, things can get pretty smooth, but once it binds, it does become a bit of a pain.
So you've got to be pretty vigilant with it. The way these are held in is by hooks on the wheels. I'll remove this bike so you can get a better look at that. And they will be adjustable up and down the length of these wings. So if you need to adjust this to your bike, you can. And you've got these foam pads, you can slide up and down to match up with your bike, so there's no chance of metal on metal contact with these steel frames. But you can see just a simple pin and clip that you can use to adjust these to different holes to accommodate different styles and sizes of bikes. If you're looking to maximize space, I do think this is a pretty good way to store four bikes in your garage, especially if you don't want to permanently mount something to your wall. But for me, I find that in my own garage, wall space is limited, but floor space is even more limited to a point where it's kind of a problem. So for me, this just wouldn't be a good solution. And I imagine that's the case for a lot of people. If you're looking for a solution to solve that, I'd say a look into something like the Saris Glide. That's gonna be a ceiling-mounted solution where your bikes will again just hang by the wheels by some hooks, but this time upside down. I don't personally use the Saris Glide, but that's how I store my own bike at home from the ceiling, and I love it. It's great because it stays out of the way. And Brad, one of our installers here, has actually installed that Saris Glide in his own garage and used it for his and his family's bikes. For that reason, I think that's what I would personally go with, just because the ceiling storage has worked really well for me, and I know that Brad has liked that Saris Glide. But if you do have the floor space and you don't wanna lift your bike up and overhead to hang it upside down, or you just have ceilings that are too tall and you can't quite reach, then a floor-mounted solution like this I think could be a good way to go. And if that does fit your needs, I think it's gonna be a great way to store four bikes. This is just our look at the Let's Go Aero V-Tree bike storage stand and my name's Aidan. Thanks for watching.
