This bike trailer allows you to bike with 1 or 2 children. Connect the hitch arm to the hitch cup on your bike when you want to go biking. You and your toddlers can enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle with this bike trailer.
For biking, the bike trailer hitch arm inserts into the bracket at the front of the child carrier. Just push in the button on the hitch arm and then slide the arm into the bracket until it snaps into place. The hitch arm is then connected to your bike using the ezHitch system.
With the ezHitch system, a longer quick-release wheel skewer replaces your bike wheel's existing quick-release skewer so that you can attach a hitch cup to your bike's rear axle. Once you have installed the skewer and hitch cup, they can be left on your bike and they will not interfere with regular biking. If you have a solid bike axle, simply remove the existing axle nut and then install the hitch cup. Reinstall the nut to secure the hitch on your bike and you're ready to ride.
After the hitch cup is mounted on your bike, the ball at the end of the child carrier's hitch arm slides inside the hitch cup and is secured to it with a locking pin and safety strap. The ball-and-socket design of this bike hitch makes a more flexible connection between your bike and the carrier than other bicycle hitches. This means that as your bike leans into corners, the carrier stays upright because the bike and the trailer act independently, preventing twisting of the hitch bar. Using this hitch system stabilizes your bicycle trailer and helps to prevent the trailer from pulling or pushing on your bike as you turn, so you and your child have a smoother ride.
This carrier is designed with your children's safety in mind. The anodized aluminum frame of the carrier forms a roll cage around your precious cargo and helps to keep little hands and feet inside at all times. Anodizing adds a strong surface coating that prevents rust while retaining the lightweight quality of the aluminum. The reflective trim makes the carrier visible in low light so that drivers, pedestrians, and bike riders can see you coming.
The kit also includes an extra-long safety flag and reflectors. The durable, polyurethane-coated polyester fabric is free of harmful chemicals, and the UV-protected side windows are made of phthalate-free polyurethane, which complies with the European Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for safe textiles.
For added peace of mind, the Cadence has a backup connection at the end of the hitch arm. A safety strap provides a second connection between the hitch arm and your bike. This strap wraps around your bicycle's chain guard and clips onto the D-ring on the hitch arm.
The large, 20" rear wheels travel smoothly over sidewalk cracks or bumps in the road.
The Thule Cadence bike trailer keeps your children comfortable as you travel. The hammock-style seat and restraint harnesses keep life cushy and safe for your precious cargo, and the large, tinted side windows let you check on your children as they enjoy the view.
You can use the included 2-in-1 weather cover either with the screen alone to keep out bugs and debris or with the rain cover to shield your babies from wet or windy weather. An attached sunshade helps to keep your babies out of direct sunlight and can be rolled up and out of the way when it isn't needed.
Parents will also appreciate the handy features that make the carrier easy to use. The large rear cargo compartment is perfect for storing a diaper bag or snacks, and the carrier has a mesh pocket inside the cab for organizing smaller stuff like toys or wipes.
Each of the spoked, aluminum rear wheels can be removed with the simple push of a button, which makes folding the carrier easy.
To fold the trailer, remove the push-button wheels, tow bar, and handlebar. Then pull on the knobs in the rear cargo area to release the frame latches and give the back frame a sharp push down and inwards to fold the carrier. After the trailer has been folded, place the wheels and tow bar on top of the trailer for storage.
Lots of helpful accessories (sold separately) are also available for the bicycle trailer. An additional ezHitch attachment can be purchased for installation on a second bike, so 2 people can switch off pulling the bike trailer. And a cover can be purchased to help protect the bike trailer from dust and scratches while it's in storage.

After one year of use, this Thule bike trailer is still holding up really well. It actually still looks brand new even after many uses. The attachment system makes it really easy to quickly connect/disconnect, yet is nicely secured. The storage behind the seats is convenient to put anything you might need for a ride. Thankfully, the trailer is light enough to pick up by one person, so transporting is a cinch. I do like the colors and flag so that it's easily seen by drivers. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants a strictly bike trailer.

We are in northern Ohio, so its still to cold to take the grandkids out. When it was warmer, we used it every chance we got. Lots of storage in the back compartment for snacks, toys and a soft case cooler. Quick hook up. Great product
