Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the TecNiq linear area waterproof white LED boat accent light. Now, this is an LED light that'll provide a nice, bright, wide light for your boat. So, this light's great for upgrading or replacing your accent lighting, step lighting, walkway, or underwater lighting. This uses a clear, high-clarity lens, which provides 180 degrees of linear lighting.

You can see it is a nice, sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit, so it meets a IP 68 rating. It's a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens. And as you can see, it's a clear lens over three wide LEDs. Now, at the end of this video, I am going to connect this to 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is, but I first wanna go over some of the features of the light. It uses premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant.

They are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. The light does use a military grade construction on the circuit board of the light, which means it has urethane potting which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. This light is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Now, this is a surface mount installation. It does mount using a protective horizontal, vertical, or 45 degree mounting covers.

Those we do sell separately on our website and they are listed on this product page as a related product. This light will hardwire to your application. You can see the two wires, a power and a ground. The wire length is about nine inches. Give you a few dimensions on the light itself.

I'm gonna measure the back since that's the widest part. It is right at 2 1/8 inches. The depth of it is right at 5/8 of an inch. And then the overall height of it is also right at 5/8 of an inch. Light output on this is 240 lumens. And the input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts. So, what we're gonna go ahead and do is hook this up to some 12 volt power. And once we have that all connected, I'll go ahead and turn the light on, and there's the power to the three LEDs. Go ahead and turn off our overhead lights, and you can see how bright they are. And again, this is three LEDs, 240 lumens. And we mentioned it gives you 180 degrees of linear lighting, so you can see how wide that is. I am actually going to zoom out just to give you an idea. You can see as I hold this up, it gives a pretty wide 180 degrees. And if we zoom back in, there's your three LEDs. We'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lighting. Turn off our power.
