Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
The transom (stern, or rear of your boat) provides important tie-down points for securing your boat to your trailer. These transom straps are intended to be part of a boat tie-down system, and they should always be used along with a bow strap and at least one gunwale strap, for safe trailering.
The Kwik-Lok buckles on these transom straps can be easily opened and closed with one hand, which simplifies the process of tightening the straps down. To release each strap, simply pop open its corrosion-resistant, zinc-coated steel buckle. Then pull the strap through and snap the buckle down to close it. The sturdy polypropylene strap is woven through the over-center buckle. So once the buckle is closed, it will help maintain tension on the strap, keeping your boat more firmly secured than with a standard cam buckle.
To protect your boat's paint finish, the top S-hooks are coated with rubberized nylon and each Kwik-Lok buckle sits on a web pad.

These transom tie-downs help you secure your boat's stern to your trailer safely. Kwik-Lok buckles have easy one-hand operation and help maintain tension on straps. Polypropylene webbing and corrosion-resistant steel hardware. 1,200 lbs Max load.I needed 6' transom tie downs instead of 4' ones.... so I re-ordered the 6' ones, and will use the 4' ones on my other boat.... the ones on the other boat now are several years old, and are still working great, but now I have another spare set.... so, who knows when I'm going to buy another boat needing them!
I use these for a boat transom tie down and they work great
Great product, good price. I made mistake on the item, and etrailer was very helpful getting my mistake rectified.
I use these to tie down a playmate cooler and a tool bag in my Polaris RZR 1000 off road UTV.
Works Great
Won't hold, keep coming loose. I had to go back to my old straps. Now they just sit in a box.
Holding up well. Design is simple and easy to use
My package shipped the same day! Etrailer will be my first stop for trailer parts from now on.
This bunk bracket fit my trailer perfectly. It was easy to order, reasonably priced, and arrived quickly. Thank you, etrailer.
Excellent product. No signs of any corrosion. Hooks could be a bit more secure if they rounded a full 180 degrees.
Exactly what we needed. We also ordered a swivel jack. Excellent customer service, they even contacted me about a possible different part since the swivel jack I ordered was a bit delayed. Will definitely save this business as a favorite when we need replacements!
Holding up well after one year. Good p rice.
Previous BoatBuckle I had for years the metal was all stainless steel. The new BoatBuckles obviously are not, as after a few weeks the metal parts are corroding. I'll have to keep a close watch to be sure they don't corrode through and drop my boat!!
Otherwise they are easy to adjust and look good (when new).
WE find these tie downs to be very handy. They work best, if they can be placed in a direct line from boat to anchor point. Takes a little time to get used to how tight to pull them before you snap down the lever. Once that is established they work well. Glad we got them.
Overall excellent, only issue, as noted by other reviewers, is the hooks are "shallow"; the don't securely hook to the eyes on the transom. Should the straps become slightly loose they will become disconnected from the transom eye. I rectified this by adding rubber "stays" on the hooks.
Arrived as described and worked perfect
Very nice. Easy to put on the transom of my boat
Products met my expectations. Delivery was on time. Good descriptions of merchandise online. Would recommend etrailer to others.
Simple easy to use product. Customer service and platform form were easy to use. Confirmation of shipment to Confirmation of delivery was excellent
I doubt you can beat these straps for the price. As opposed to the stock/OEM straps, I really like the feel of what I would describe as a positive lock or "snap", when these are engaged. My only concern might be overall longevity/durability, as these straps aren't as heavy as the original OEM that I used for nearly 10 years. But again, at this price point, you can afford to replace them more often.
these were the same exact tie downs that came with my new boat. the boat was not set up correctly on the trailer so it cut through 1 of my straps. I wanted the same ones because they are so easy to use. I cut the strap to the length I need and the Velcro flap that holds it in place is perfect!
What I ordered
The main item I ordered was a rear light cover set. Someone had backed into and destroyed the cover. I was happy to find etrailer had the covers as the trailer is sixteen years old. The tie down straps replaced the old ones and I'm sure will work fine.
