These heavy-duty tie-downs help you secure you boat's transom (stern) to your trailer. Ratchets make it easy to tighten the straps precisely and maintain tension. Polyester webbing and corrosion-resistant steel hardware. 2,500 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-down straps let you firmly secure your boat's transom (stern) to your trailer
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down and maintain tension on straps
    • Let you tighten straps precisely with no guesswork
    • Let you loosen straps instantly with quick-release levers
  • Zinc-coated steel ratchet and S-hooks are corrosion resistant
  • Strong polyester webbing is flexible, and weather resistant
  • Web pad under buckles and rubberized vinyl coating on top S-hooks help prevent scratches and scuffs

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 4' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 833 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 2,500 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 transom straps
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

The transom (stern, or rear of your boat) provides important tie-down points for securing your boat to your trailer. These transom straps are intended to be part of a boat tie-down system, and they should always be used along with a bow strap and at least one gunwale strap, for safe trailering.

The gear-like ratcheting mechanisms on these transom straps let you provide just the right amount of tension needed to secure your boat's transom to your trailer, and each strap stays locked in place until you press its release lever.

To protect your boat's paint finish, the top S-hooks are coated with rubberized nylon and each ratchet buckle sits on a pad made from the same webbing used for the strap.

So far so good would have given 5 stars if the handles locked down like a normal ratchet strap and or they included a wrap around to hold the tail.

by:

Great tie downs

by:

These tie downs are tough and, so far, continue to perform and operate well. i have had only minor corrosion and no wear issues and both tie downs are fully intact and I use them sometimes twice a week.

by:

Nice, easy to tight and release when needed. A bit wider and stronger than others I have had. A year in still good.

by:

Items ordered seem to be of very good q uality

by:

Haven't installed it yet. Time will tell to see how this product holds up to real use.

New tie downs for my boat seem robust and they fit perfectly. I will review further after continued use.

by:

Awesome! Love these!

by:

I was looking for a transom strap for my boat. I wanted ratcheted straps rather than buckle straps. I had purchased a cargo carrier for my Yukon in the past and was very satisfied with the cost and quality. When I found these straps on etrailer I did not hesitate to purchase them. They are very good quality and the price was very fair.

After a year the straps are working exactly as I need them.

by:

Product was shipped and received on time. Used the straps to hold my boat I just purchase on the trailer. I used 2 on the front of the boat and 2 on the back. Traveled over 100 miles and had no issues with the straps loosening up. When I went to remove them they released with ease. Nice heavy duty straps and would recommend them. Well worth the money.

Still holding up strong even to the salt water . I have no issues with the straps and strongly recommend to anyone looking for a good quality strap .

by:

Just received them yesterday. After opening the box they appear to be off good quality using above average hardware and nylon straps. Should give years of service.

No problems with the straps. No discoloring or deterioration of the nylon. The buckles are holding up well. No issues.

Still working and holding up great. Product is well made and provides a tight, strong connection. Straps have not worn at all

by:

The BoatBuckle works very well and easily adjusted for the appropriate pressure needs. They are just a bit difficult to to unlock, however this is to be expected since there is pressure on the latch. Regardless, this product works great and highly recommend the product. I would also like to mention the product support, videos, and call centre support is superb.

by:

Very pleased with these tie downs. Hold great and easy to get tight. Much better than the fold over style. Only way they would be better is if they had a built in retainer strap for the extra strap.

by:

Excellent buckles. The cheap ones from the hardware store always broke. These are sturdy and well made. I can tighten them without the rachet bending.

Excellent - best tie downs I have owned.

by:

Yep, etrailer comes through again. Good thing etraler had a video ‘cuz the packaged instruction are bad. A little overkill for my 15 ft Boston Whaler but they’ll work out just fine

by:

Shipping took 10 days that is way too l ong

by:

Straps loosen a just a bit and are hard to open after traveling dirt Canadian roads. But for not spending the extra money to get enclosed ratchets, these are good for the price. Only wish is if the S hooks were wider.

by:

They do a great job on safely keeping my boat on the trailer during transportation.

by:

Not all that impressed with this product. Ratcheting mechanism catches and is not smooth in operation. I expected better quality. Will have to use it for a while to see if it loosens up but I am not hopeful. Never had a ratcheting tie down that was this awkward to use. Will be much more hesitant of products in the future.

by:

Simple, well-constructed transom straps. They have wide pads to protect the transom. Unlike some transom straps, they don't have a convenient way to tie down the loose strap ends, although that's not a big issue.

by:

Just received my ratchet transom straps. Great quality stainless Steele with coated hooks that required no modifications to use. Great service and great product at the best price.

by:

First off, Etrailer does a fantastic job of taking orders and getting them out the door to customer as quickly as possible.
The straps do exactly what they are supposed to do and appear to of good quality.

by:

The transom straps are heavy duty..great buy and quality...first time ordering from etrailer , no issues and I received item quickly ...smooth transaction

by:

Working great 1 year later. No problems with boat tie down security.

  • Picking Out Transom Strap for 2023 179FS Keywest Boat
For a boat as heavy as your 2023 179FS Keywest boat I would go with our higher rated transom straps like the BoatBuckle part # IMF14207 which are rated for 2,500 lb max load and are 4 foot long. This should be a long enough strap but we also have a 6 foot long version part # IMF14208 and a shorter 2 foot long strap part # IMF14206.

  • What Ladder Rack Do You Recommend for a BAKFlip MX4 on My 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 58 Bed?
For a great ladder rack that fits with your BAKFlip MX4 on your 2021 Silverado 1500 with a 5'8" bed, I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4002965. Since the BAKFlip MX4 completely installs within the bed rails of your truck, the Adarac Pro Series will be able to install into the stake pockets of your vehicle without interfering the tonneau. The Adarac comes with a 500 pound weight capacity for carrying ladders, lumber, piping, and and other cargo with ease....

  • Transom Strap Recommendation for Length Needed of 2 foot 3 inches
Since the length you need is 2 foot, 3 inches the correct length of BoatBuckle Transom strap you'd need is the part # IMF14207 which can stretch out to up to 4 feet in length. It would easily tighten down to the length you need as well.

  • Recommended Boat Transom Straps for 7,000-lbs Boat and 1,500-lbs Trailer
The purpose of most boat tie-downs is to strap the lightest object to the heaviest object, meaning you will want to choose a tie-down with a break strength that exceeds the weight of the lightest object. Your transom straps are used in conjunction with a gunwale strap and the winch strap to help secure the boat to the trailer, so it's not the only thing doing work to secure the boat. If you've got roughly 8500-lbs of boat and trailer then using the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom...

I recommend using the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps in either a 2' # IMF14206 4' # IMF14207 or 6' # IMF14208. You will want to find the appropriate length depending on your boat and trailer. These straps are all rated for 833lbs working load. With boat trailers and straps it is important to remember you are securing a heavy object to a lighter object. So with your boat weighing 2,000lbs your trailer is most likely around 500lbs which is well within the weight rating...

  • Safe Working Load For Transom Tie Downs
The BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Bow Tie-Down Strap - Steel - 43" Long - 833 lbs - Qty 1 # IMF14220 has a break strength rated individually. This has a break strength of 2,500 lbs but a safe working load limit of 833 lbs. You want to stay in the working load limit of the strap and not the break strength because that is the worst case scenario not the ideal. The safe working load limit is the safe zone you want to stay in so for 1600 lbs you would want 2 of these straps and for...

  • Can a Transom Tie Down Be Mounted To The Bunk Boards On A Boat Trailer?
The CE Smith Tie-Down Bracket # CE26214G really should not be attached to the end of the bunk board. The end of the board will rot over time as it is constantly being submerged in water for loading and unloading the boat. The bracket should be attached to the crossmember or the trailer frame. You will then be able to secure your boat to the trailer using the Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF14207.

I am happy to confirm that our installation team here at etrailer.com has attached the Adarac Aluminum M-Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum # AD49FR along with the BAKFlip tonneau cover. The reason why you cannot see the front stake pockets on your 2018 Ford F-150 (5-1/2 Ft.
