BoatBuckle's second-generation bow tie-down strap bolts to the frame of your trailer and simplifies the securing and unloading of your boat. It is designed to keep constant tension on the strap and requires minimal ratcheting to secure your load. Instead of always having to find and store a tie-down strap that hooks to the tie-down anchors on the front of your boat, you will find that BoatBuckle's bow strap is always right where you need it. Just pull up on the hook and strap, attach the hook to the bow, and then operate the ratchet several times. No more dealing with extra webbing or looking for the tie-down strap. And when unloading, simply push the release button on the ratchet, free the hook from the bow, and let the strap retract back down into the ratchet.
Installation
This strap comes with the mounting hardware that you'll need to install it. It is recommended that you use anti-seize (LT37616 - sold separately) to ensure that the nut is properly tightened down over the bolt. You can use the included bolt to mount the ratchet directly to the trailer frame or crossmember. If you need to angle the ratchet strap or move it a little farther off the frame, a universal mounting kit (IMF14254 - sold separately) is available.
Note: A bow tie-down should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of transom or gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load.

I’m really excited about this bow strap. I’m using this model along with BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps to secure my boat to the trailer on road trips to the lake. Equipment was in original packing with all components and instructions. Easy install. I could have made a DIY strap to hold down the bow as a third safety belt. The boat buckle is more secure and easily operated by one person. I will look to etrailer.com first for future trailer and accessories in the future.
It's a great addition to my trailer. So much easier then a rope and hook.
The bow buckle its self is really good. Just like the boat buckle transom straps that came on the boat new.
The only issue that I had was the nut that came with the bolt for installation was the wrong nut. I had to use a nut, bolt and loctite that I had laying around.
Etrailer shipped the product super fast.
We recently installed a set of boat buckles and I have to tell you they are everything they claim to be and more. Installation was easy, and in use, they are the fastest, easiest way to secure our boat that I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you so much for a great product. This appears to be a quality product. I installed the bow tie-down and a pair of BoatBuckle stern tie-downs on my 26' center console and new trailer. Installation is simple and connecting/disconnecting the tie-downs takes seconds. I anticipate a long service life and will be washing them with one of the salt-dissolving washes, along with the trailer brakes, to help assure that.
Great product!
Easy to install--attached to an existing bolt for the spare tire holder. Easy to use and works great to hold down the bow of a 16' skiff. I sprayed all metal parts I could reach with CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor. Will be interested to see how long the tiedown holds up in a saltwater environment. Only a couple of weeks old at this point.

Towing my 25 boat up and down the west coast multiple times this year, the Boat Buckle is working flawlessly. I am very pleased with the product quality and ease of operation.
Makes securing my boat at the boat ramp a breeze.
Great product,installed easy.I feel better now it is installed I don't worry about boat bouncing going down the rough Texas roads
It is so nice to have the straps on the trailer, instead of storing the straps on the boat or RV and then remembering where you put them.

Its nice not to have to search for my tiedowns because they are always on my trailer
This product works great for our 17 foot aluminum boat. It is simple and fast to use. It was very easy to install. I highly recommend this product. It saves you time keeping track of your tie downs and straps.
