Specs:
Bolster-and-swivel-bracket assemblies are typically found mounted upright on a boat trailer's crossmembers. They allow a mounted roller bunk, which is run from the front of the trailer to the back, to pivot while you are loading a boat.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mm to 5 mm thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Today we're going to take a look at the CE Smith Bolster Bump Bracket. Part number CE10003G. The bracket is stamped and galvanized, giving it a 3 to 5mm coating. This makes it adaptable, even in salt water, to resist rust and corrosion. One the side that faces the trailer, it's dimpled, so that it will grip the steel of the trailer, and doesn't slide or shift around. The top bracket will swivel, allowing the roller bump to conform to the boat's haul. Another really nice feature, it only takes one U-bolt to secure to your boat trailer. The overall height of our bracket is 11 inches.
The adjustability is 10 inches. It's two an a half inches wide. This is a heavy duty bracket, made of 11 gauge, galvanized steel. Making it perfect for your boat trailer application. Let's go ahead and show you how to install it. To begin our install, we're going to remove the old or manufacturer's boards and brackets. Since we're removing the bunk boards and brackets, we're just going to take the U-bolts off the frame. Quick tech tip: Before you remove your boards, take a tape measure, and get the height of your board.
That way when you install your new brackets and rollers, you can set it back to the same height. Now that we have the boards loose, we'll go ahead and take them off the trailer and set them aside as they will not be reinstalled. Next we're going to install the new CE Smith bracket. Our bracket will replace the old or manufacturer's bracket that we removed. To secure our bracket to the frame we're going to use the CE Smith U-bolt. Part number CE15283GA. The U-bolt will go around the frame, into the bracket, and then get secured with a split lock washer and nut. Let's go ahead and put it in place now. Now that we've installed our fasteners we're just going to install them finger tight this time. Keep in mind when you tighten down your U-bolt, make sure you tighten down both sides evenly. Once we have our bracket installed we'll go ahead and tighten our bracket down. Here on our rear support, or rear portion of our frame, we're going to ahead and install our bracket and U-bolt.
Our bracket and U-bolt are going to sit in the exact same position as the old, or manufacturer's bracket. Then again to secure it we'll use a split lock washer and hex nut on each side of our U-bolt. Remember, when tightening down your U-bolt, make sure you tighten down both sides evenly. We'll go ahead and repeat the same process for the remaining brackets. I'll go ahead and take the roller bump, set it onto our brackets, and secure the bump to the brackets. When securing your bump to the brackets, the hardware is not supplied. I'm going to use a bolt and flat washer. It's going to go down through the roller bump, then through the bracket. Underneath I'm going to add another washer, and a nylon lock nut. Once we have all of our hardware in place, we can tighten it down. There you have it, for part number, CE10003G.

VERY HEAVY DUTY BRACKET!GOOD QUALITY!GREAT PROUDUCT!
Good quality except for the hardware. They used zinc plated steel hex bolt and lock-nut. If the brackets are galvanized then the hardware should be stainless steel. May add a little to the price but makes for a better product. I replaced the inferior hardware with 304 Stainless hex bolt and lock-nut
This is a simple product, but a very good one for boat trailer bunks. It is heavy steel and heavily galvanized. I bought two to replace very old ones which did not have the strengthening bridge across the slot that these have; my old ones separated at that mid-point, from wear and tear and age.
All my purchases have exceeded expectations. Great service and excellent quality. Thanks for having what I needed to get the job done!!
